I would never want him but i see a lot of the fan base seem keen on him. He's corrupt and will render us another chelsea, the club we constantly berate. We would lose our principles and everything arsenal stands for. Also considering his history i don't trust his motives.

Don't want him personally, because I'm not sure we need him. Although I think it's odd that a majority shareholder is not given a place on the board. If I were Kronke and Gazidis, I'd want him on board, rather than have him plotting behind my back.

The only reason people want Usmanov is because he's promised to throw bucket loads of cash around. But if, as promised, the board are about to deliver an extra thirty million per season to spend on the squad, then surely we've already got the right people in place ?

Exactly, give it a season or two, then we can decide.

I don't want some nob head telling Wenger or future mangers who to buy and how he wants the team to play. The only thing the board can question is results. I have a feeling that Usmanov would not be a hands-off owner.

Trophies won by doing things the same way as Chelsea would be meaningless to me, i'd probably lose interest in football

I think he should have a seat on he board.

I don't want him taking over the club but i'd be happy for him to have a seat on the board.

Firstly i think it's ridiculous that he has invested so much money into buying shares in the club to not even be given a seat - i think it's insulting and to be honest if it was me i'd be looking to cause trouble for the bastards who were not letting me sit on the board of a company which i own a third of. Our board try to come across as very moral and doing the right thing, operating the right way etc... But it isn't ok to exclude a large shareholder from any input ino the club because the other board members don't like him. It's the sort of thing you'd expect to see with kids in a primary school!

Secondly, i think he has very different views to the rest of the board and it might be good to have things shaken up a little. They would still out vote him and be able to continue to move the club forward how we are (which i think is right) but it would mean some different views and a little more pressure o succeed.

On the one hand, i don't trust Usmanov. On the other hand, he can't be worse than Kroenke.

Can't we just get someone who's not 1 of these 2 to own us?

A lot of people are quick to criticise Kroenke and blame him for our 7 years without a trophy. They forget that he has only owned the club for 18 months

I don't blame him for the trophy drought, i just fear he'll be another Glazer, and use the club as his piggy bank. American owners DO NOT WORK, It's been proven. Villa have become a bit ****e since Lerner took over, Sunderland are going backwards under their Yank, ManUre are in a heap of debt etc.

Your theory brakes down as soon as you mention United.

    They're massively in debt.

I also forgot Liverpool. FSG look a bit clueless.

When you talk about principles and what we stand for, what exactly are those principles? The way the club is being run now sure as hell isn't in line with Arsenal's principals and what it stands for. The way the club is being run now is simply about creating the Arsenal "brand", and insuring profits continue going up, and not for football reasons as we've seen, because we've been constantly selling our best players to make that profit as well.

Its a case of whats worse

    1. A yank who seems to have no passion and little interest in our club who bought it based on a financial model of making £10m's every year from transfer business plus the rest. The extra money from the new deals will pretty much just mean that transfer business will be more or less self sufficient.

    2. A Russian who claims to be a supporter and will put £millions into the club, but it may all be because of his animosity with Abromavich.

Personally I think at this point in time Id take my chances with Usmanov.

The club is very much being run on Arsenal's principles.

Kronke may have bought into it, but the principles were put in place well before he got involved.

I don't know about you, but Arsenal's principles has never been to consistently sell your best players each summer, selling them off to your rivals, to make a profit for the 'brand'. Now if that's the boards principles, they can surely stick those principles were the sun don't shine, and get Usamanov in who will break that principle that is ruining this club.
