I am a long way from home, lads. Not that I mind too much, as I understand that it's rather chilly back in old Blighty.

I can't say where I am, except to confirm that the food is extremely suspect, to the point where I find it necessary not to enquire as to the ingredients; and they make an alcoholic drink using the sap from a local tree that seems to get one pissed from very small measures.

"They have been hammered left, right and centre by numbers of people," he added.

"But for a club that has been very poor and disastrous, by all accounts from other people, we lie four points off top four.

"When you are a club that is the size of Liverpool then that criticism comes.

"But I was quite calm because their [the players'] focus and concentration has been first class, our mentality was very much relaxed as we can only worry about ourselves.

"We know what will come our way when you don't win games and we are trying to still improve.

"Everyone has their opinion on Liverpool and I understand that because of the standards set by this club in the 1970s and 1980s."

Do you not think he could be a bit more guarded though? He knows that everything is twisted (and this report demonstartes that beautifully) so why put yourself in the firing line? If he'd just said "we're only 4 points off the top 4 and we think we can challenge for those places" few would have batted an eyelid because, as you say, all managers want to be positive and everyone between you and everton must be thinking similar..

He pretty much said the gap is small and if we can keep winning we'll climb, so he really said nothing at all tbh, just fed the reporters some obvious cr@p but please keep clutching at anything at all to back your nonsense views

It shouldn't be his prerogative to improve the quality of journalism, but that's modern life unfortunately.

He did say that you twat in a different way. A manager should show some ambition, otherwise he's what, accepting mediocrity as stated earlier by you lot now he's deluded.. <doh> You lot are a joke, Sack AVB keep AVB Sack AVB <doh> One of the most plastic lot out there

Sorry but that's not reality, that's guess work.

Of course he didn't say you'll finish second but to start talking about 11 points like it's not much when it's 50% more than you've picked up this season and 11 points less sees you deep in the relegation places it makes him look stupid. Talking about his team being consistent is probably the worst thing though, you've yet to show the kind of form that can get you into the top 6 let alone any higher.
