The first few words let you down there. They didn`t begin with C, must do better. Brendan saying you could finish 2nd must be catching. Rafa has stated he thinks Chelsea will win the league. I am not certain which is more delusional.
Definitely Rodgers saying we can finish second. Chelsea have the players, they just need to become a team.

Absolutely no chance of second as everyone knows. I'd rather aim for 2 and finish 4th than aim for 4th and finish 6th I suppose. But neither 2 or 4th will happen unless we invest. With this squad its 6-12th.
If Rodgers actually believes this then fair enough, but he must be aware that if things turn sour this will be a millstone around his neck. Much like Rafa's guarantee of 4th place in his last season in charge.
Even thinking that United will win the league is delusional. So Rodgers and Rafa may be under-estimating
