If there could be a moment of silence for this, it would be awesome. No one should have to bury their kids, no one. Unreal. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/14/sandy-hook-elementary-school-shooting_n_2300831.html I deal a lot with kids, in social work and in coaching academy. I can't even think about losing those who you grow attached to and who look to you as a role model in your craft and in life in general. Crazy, really really sad story.
I know they can be a pain sometime, but 20 kids???? Wish he wasn't killed on the scene and someone paralyzed him or turned him into a vegetable for this.
Just appalling. I physically felt sick when I came home to this. Nothing we can say will help those involved.
Brutal. Got a mate teaching in Southern Oregon ands its fair to say hes devastated. Its horrible news.
There are some seriously sick people in the world. If there really was a god would he let this sort of thing happen?
Fair point, but don't forget Dunblane happened in this country. On the Constitutional right to bear arms things, am I not right, Bluff, that comes from the Militia/Minuteman thing post the War of Independence? Do you REALLY expect us to come sweeping down from Canada and take you back for the Crown? Obama looked physically shattered. Those poor families, just before Christmas. There should be a minute's silence, but expect the United fans and Boris Johnson to take the piss of that and say we're wallowing in grief.
Yet another massacre. Fkucing shame. Poor kids and poor families left behind. It affects every kid at the school too. I wonder how many guns were sold this week in the US. When you can easily pick up a gun every time you're depressed or angry or pissed off or cheated or... lots of people will die.
sad news but slate me if you want there should be no minute silence. They were murdered in different continent ffs. Lets have a minute next week for the. Palestinian kids week after can be the syrian ones
And the Israeli ones killed by indiscriminate rocket fire. Or the kids in Darfur killed for not being Moslem.
****ing horrible, i will never understand why they make it so easy to get hold of a gun in the states.
Most types of gun are illegal in the UK but you can still get hold of one if you really wanted to. Made me laugh when i first came to live in Cyprus, 11 years ago. A Cypriot friend took me to his families` Easter party, where i got talking to his cousins who were police officers. It turns out almost all cypriots own at least one gun, they said once i knew what gun i wanted to speak to them and they would sort the licence. I asked if i could have a pump action shotgun but was told they were illegal along with semi-automatic pistols, i could however have a machine gun with no problems at all!!!!
If you read the second amendment it is clearly in the context of a civil militia, in absence of a state army. But, guns are money. Nothing will change on a national level, it's political suicide.
Worst thing Britain did was make guns illegal. Least we knew who had what before, now they're illegal there are no records of who has what!
don't really agree with that point, its only really criminals here that have guns anyway, in the states your gran could own one. as someone pointed out what happens if someone has a bad day etc, here they are just likely to smash a window if they have had too much special brew lol and are peeved off, over there, well anything can happen. there are obviously exceptions to the rule, but as a whole, that's one thing we have got right.
