Martin Allen has said today that he can strengthen the squad further in January. I would suggest Vincelot, Wright on free transfers and Jack Midson from AFC Wimbledon and Tom Flanagan from MK Dons for money!

I think Midson would be good, but any striker which has a bit of pace and can get goals and is below 27 years old would be good, then Wright is another signing I would make, Vincelot would be good but only if we pay around 150-200k, and another centre back who is around 19-22, Tom Flanagan would be good but I doubt MK would sell him. I feel we may get another Centre back on loan.

shame posh got in on the signing of young dwight gayle, looks a good player in the making for them and all when we were showing signs of interest.

maybe this fella hylton at Aldershot is worth a punt or chambers of York ?

Yeah if I am correct, there was reports that we had a bid of 250k turned down for him which is a shame, he seems to be doing better for Peterborough than what he did for the Daggers, he would fit right in next to either Burton or Kedwell.

on Sky Sports it's saying Akpo Sodje has turned down a new monthly contract offered to him by Preston N/E because he wanted a longer deal from them, so will now move elsewhere but will have to wait till January to do so.
I believe he played under Mad Dog previously (Brentford) and maybe that could put us in the frame for the 32 year old striker when available shortly ?

I personally think wright is the key signinging, anyone care to tell me how we're gonna get I'm on a free as per the first post? Cos that would be exceptional business! However I dont think he'll cost a fortune given his ages and not even getting near the place team. I would try and keep vincelot on loan and get Flanagan back if he's back fit. Then save the fund to reinvest in the summer once we have the pull of going up as champions and being a league one team! Plus sign burton to another year!

Didnt think we would have got Barrett and Weston on frees, but we did, So think we could do the same with Wright! I said Vincelot on a free as I thought his contract was up at the end of this season and Brighton might be happy to offload?

I agree with that part I just think we've made it so obvious we want him they'll try and get something out of us! 50k or something only I'm sure

I said on another site that Sodje has scored 42 goals in 190 League appearances....Also, his most prolific season was in 2003 playing non league for Erith & Belvedere!

We are in a hell of a position right now.

Sitting pretty top of the league, cash in the bank, a chairman who clearly will put his hand in his pocket for players and according to the majority of tweets I read from players and atmosphere of joy and teamwork in the dressing room.

Look below us in the league.

Straight away you see three strikers who are scoring well but not flying high with their team - Akinfenwa, Chambers and Tom Craddock. We might be a tempting prospect to get a promotion and move one.

Then look above us, players like Cody are at a struggling club and not in form, a move down to a team with the wind in our sails might be very tempting indeed.

I think this is the first time in a long while we are going to be first pick for a lot of players moving in January. For me Wright is a no brainer and Bayo would be a phenomenal addition, his strength with Burtons clever feet would combine perfectly.

Cody Macdonald could be a real chance as he is not getting a look in at Coventry and they are flying since new manager.

Bayo wont come back. I doubt he wanted to be here last time. Only came here because he couldnt get the deal he wanted at Northampton and as soon as he did he went back.
