18 months, very sensible, that'll take him up to 33. Great business. <ok>

With McCormack back, it'll be interesting to see if he'll play out on the left wing tomorrow. I think Thomas is out, but can see Warnock playing a 'safe' option like White, or push Tonge out to the wing.

Great news in general though. He's a game changer and makes things happen.

Leaving the player's qualities out of it, its also a good sign that there may be a bit more cash and commitment about than previously. Can but hope, anyway.

X number of weeks ago, we'd have said go forth & multiply. But he has behaved himself & is now fast becoming afans favourite. More to the point, he's quality & a class act. Result all round, which points the way nicely ahead to the forthcoming TW.

According to Duncan castles, deal worth 7k a week and additional 3k per appearance. Seems a sensible sort of approach. Would like to see more such contracts in football. To hell with paying stupid money to someone playing three or four times a year

In an ideal world that would happen, but what player is going to agree to that when other clubs will offer them better?

Good news. But does this mean he'll start being a bit **** now he's not playing for a contract anymore?

Warnock apparently said "We're delighted he's agreed everything and hopefully he'll enjoy the next 18 months with us." Does that mean he'll be avbout next year as well?

He's a decent player if he's not relied on to do everything. With the possibility of real squad depth, why would that be a problem?

No, I meant does that indicate that Warnock will still be here?

The fact that he came to us for "one last season" had me suspicious that he'd probably say the same next season and for several seasons after that. He's a lot of things, but a quitter isn't one of those things.

Do I get the impression you're not exactly enthralled Marko?

I think he's the right man to take us up, but his record in the Premier League suggests he's not a long term solution. To get us there there's no one better. To keep us there? Who knows. Of course, a new manager would need time and money to build his own squad, which is always an issue when transitioning managers, and as such is and issue we're going to encounter in the foreseeable future.

    Hi Marko,

Would the majority of Crystal Palace fans agree with that?
