I think schlupp will end up as left back and Futacs has allegedly been complaining through his agent about not getting enough games hence looking at another striker
A Forest supporting mate of mine just told me we are meant to be looking at Dexter Blackstock. His contract runs out at the end of the season so we could nick him on the cheap. He is big mates with Wes Morgan
We know it was going to get a response, we wanted to get a response, it's just a bit of fun banter... We try to have a laugh, but when all you can come up with in response is "you spelt that wrong you f*cking ******", it disappoints us... I wouldn't mind you staying if you had something interesting to say, but I can't remember the last insightful post I read from a hull fan, it's just constant drivel...
Apart from you, now, Tiger Hull, you have come here and it seems like you actually want a conversation this is nice!
Personally for me Kenwynne Jones would be a decent loan signing as an option from the bench but who knows who Pearson will go for?
I would love us to go for Charlie Austin but I doubt we would want to pay what Burnley want for him. He is probably too simaliar to Nugent aswell
We know NP plays his cards very close to his chest so I guess we'll have to wait and see, one things for sure he won't pay over the odds a la Sven
I think most clubs in the league would love Austin but as you've said, I'm not sure any of us could afford him while sticking to our current transfer policies, plus I can't see him wanting to move to another championship club. Jones would be a decent signing at this level without a doubt, I imagine Pearson will have his targets lined up now as when he was with us, he always did his business early. Anichebe is a name I've heard for us which I wouldn't turn down. Apparently Macheda's agent has turned down any move to us or Blackpool which I'm pleased about as I don't rate him. I love banter as much as the next football fan but I like to read honest opinions from other clubs as well as underneath all the daft comments made from most fans from time to time, people do have some interesting stuff to say.
Why do I never get any recognition for this? Pearson was surprisingly good in the Transfer Market, I see you as our closest rivals for a Play off spot at the moment because you're in a similar position to us. We're both looking to get rid of some players that we don't need, i.e. Beckford, Danns etc for you lot and Olofinjana, McLean etc for us, and we can only strengthen. Boro may also be a side to watch through the Window, but I think Palace will lose Zaha, that will hurt, Watford ... Well nobody even knows their transfer methods anymore, they'll probably sign some more unused Udinese players or something. One thing I learnt about Pearson during his spell here, was that he has a great eye for a player. He's already snatched you Wes Morgan and Anthony Knockaert, so there's reason for you lot to be optimistic.
I think Charlie Austin's next move will be a Premier League one. He's 23, his strike rate at this level is better than a goal every two games. He's probably the hottest property in the league and I reckon he'll go for £6-8m.
He is nowhere near worth that. And thats the reason no one will buy him. His true value is between 2-3M but because of the inflated market in the championship it probably will be double that We played a big part in these stupid prices tags by offering 9M for Nikica Jelavic, 7M for Nicky Maynard, 6M for Shane Long, 4M for Matt Mills Its very rare a player in the championship is worth over 5M. The last player who was albeit he was only here for a few weeks was Scott Parker
I think he'll be subject to a big bid, either in Jan, or in the summer. He's scored 171 goals in 260 games and each time he's moved up a level, his strike rate has been maintained. That's fairly rare and he's still only 23, so I think at £6-7m, there's several Premier League clubs who'd take a punt.
I think you're all just wishing. If (and it's a big if) he wants to leave the 'Wall here he seems content, he will want to go to a team that he can be confident will lift him to the next level. So the only team, if any, he will sign for in January will be Cardiff City. Why would he go somewhere else and look up. And Cardiff have to replace long term injured Maynard to kick on for the title. Personally I think he is happy at Millwall, still drawing his Prem wages, playing regular football and loved by the supporters. Why would he want to leave? But if he does Cardiff is his only sensible non- Prem choice, and it's a team that can afford him. The rest of it is just piss in the wind. By the way, how is Waghorn? I heard he has to have an Appendix op but can't find anything relating to it. If it is true will he be fit when Cardiff visit you on 22nd? You'll see how much you need Woods on saturday. Enjoy the rest of your season.
But most of them goals are in non League. Jamie Vardy has simaliar stats but so far he has been indifferent in the championship I do rate Austin but I think he is too much a risk for a championship club to pay that much. He would be a bigger loss to Burnley then a gain to whoever signs him
At the minute WBA hold all the cards. They might decide to keep him or even let Millwall extend the loan. Do we need another striker? No as we have Nugent, Waghorn and Vardy all capable of scoring goals Do we want another striker? Yes. But we dont need to break the bank to sign one as Nugent has proved he is more then capable of getting 20 goals this season so we just need someone else to chip in. From midfield we have King, Dyer, Knockaert and Marshall who all score their fair share so we do have goals from all over the place. On your question about Waggy he is out for tommorow and we expect Jamie Vardy to come in but we could stick Futacs in or change the formation and bring Ben Marshall into midfield and put Anthony Knockaert behind Nugent. Waggy should be fit for the Cardiff game
