Morning all from a damp & grey bandit country - just back from the quacks where the considered opinion of the terrible pains in my left foot was due to tendon problems and not gout, time will tell!! Seems that we will be lording it up in a box for the Forest game, so will need a plan to meet up with the visitors attending!
"Yorkshire will host the first two stages of the 2014 Tour de France after winning a bid to start the race in the north of England for the first time ever. The action will kick off in Leeds over the 5th and 6th of July, before moving south onto London during the third day’s racing." Must be a chance that Yorkie will be asked to flag them off seeing as he is almost French now.
Thought you would have picked this up OFH , should have checked in here before mentioning it in the Short news thread just now
Sorry OFH, going to be out most of tomorrow so will rule myself out of doing a thread. I'll only be able to catch up on the match via my phone so plenty of updates please .
Friday drinks are now on the bar. View attachment 19647 click to enlarge A bit early but I'm still excited about getting my Man City ticket!!!
It appears to be the end of the world outside my office. Wind and rain lashing it down and I'm half expecting Noah to come floating by any minute now.
Evening all from a quiet bandit country...just how Americans and those disgusting NRA people can still argue against gun control is totally beyond me.
Gun control will occur in the US when the number of innocent deaths without it is considered unacceptable.
Absolutely! Though honestly not sure why he didn't get it...seems a bit strange but i'm not complaining. Definitely need to make arrangements! You're good at that w_y, what's the plan Thanks Sandy! Never too early The weather was dreadful today! I'd prefer crisp and freezing than wet and windy! Thanks for the caramel latte Ak! I know i'm a bit late with that! lol Evening all, hope you've all had a good day
Morning all from a relatively mild bandit country with some patchy sunshine! - busy day, baking and then off to see The Hobbit this afternoon. H - I have started a Meet Up at City thread in the usual place
Emiatts and Charley Livesey are the only two regular posters not to have predicted yet this week so if anyone "bumps" into them please remind them in case they have forgotten
Bright and sunny and a very warm breeze here today. Same in Burnley no doubt. Another hack from The Sun just writes what someone else told him without checking. The Burnley boss faces his old club today for the first time since the Pozzo family took over at Vicarage Road and made sweeping changes. In came loan players from other Pozzo teams and out went the policy of sourcing their own young talent.
It's so frustrating though that journalists are getting it so wrong. People believe what they spin...
Any good, W-Y? Wondering whether to try to get to see it this week before all the ankle biters are let loose.
GG - It's OK. It's a well made film that tracks the plot of the book, but lacks the depth of the LOTR films. At just under 3 hours and there are 2 more instalments to come, the story has been stretched a bit to far. Nowhere as good as the LOTR films, but a good afternoon out..it will be hell with small kids watching a film that long!
Thanks for that. Pretty much what the reviews I've read said, but it's always good to get it from someone who isn't a jaded film critic! We probabaly will go and watch, but it without too high expectations.
