I'd give him a run. I think he's been pretty good. I like Cesar, but he worries me a bit 'cos he doesn't like to command his area, preferring to punch rather than hold, which doesn't help much to alleviate pressure.
Give Green one more start at least, if he messes up in the first half against Fulham he ain't coming out for the second.
Do you think there's clear daylight between the two of them on the evidence of recent games, Col? I think Green has been a lot better than I feared, whilst Cesar became less impressive the longer his run.
Unfair on Green but Cesar should start. He never lost his place, only an injury so should come back in. A match winner. Played very well in the derby against Chelsea on his debut. Looks like he got the minerals for a big match.
Definitely Cesar for me if fit, although I realize this might seem a bit of a slap in the face to Rob Green, who has deputized quite well the past 3 games.
Cesar at 70% is better than Green at 100%. Cesar showed in game against Arsenal in particular that he is on a different level
Nice expression - can I use it occasionally? I'm more that happy to accept the consensus that Cesar should go straight back in. I am reassured, however, that Green put in a committed and competent performance when called upon and allayed the fears that I had that he was going to be crap again.
It's a tough one, but Green was many people's MOM at Wigan and made a point-retaining save at Sunderland. I'd stick with him.
That's not our problem Thor. The only way a Goalkeeper can get a run in the side is when the other bloke is out. Green took his chance and has done well. It should be him until he drops a clanger and then Cesar back in. Last season Fatty Kenny shouldn't have been allowed walk back in when Cerny was in such good form. Fat cu*t cost us goals.
