Did anyone read Tony Barrett's article in the Times today? You need a subscription but from what I read on Twitter, it was an interview with Damien Commolli and they were talking about his time there. One of the biggest things from the article is that management wanted to go for Gotze but Kenny and DC went for Henderson instead.
Would DC really say something as damning to him self as that in an interview...? I can't see this myself but if someone can post the article that would be great If it is true than it deserve a mighty face palm... please log in to view this image
Yep - couldn't believe it myself but I haven't actually seen the article and I'm that's what going round Twitter at the moment. Rory Smith from the Times says "As regards to a piece in today's paper, Comolli and Dalgish were asked if they wanted to go for Gotze. DC and KD said Henderson was the priority"
And even better news, the article goes onto explain: Juan Mata was open to prospect of joining LFC last summer but Kenny wanted Downing instead.
Can't stand reading that **** with Comolli, you blew the money, Only Henderson probably has a chance. So much talent out there and we wanted to overspend.
Supposedly, Ince's transfer is close to being agreed for an early January transfer...not sure on this one. Has he really improved so much in the last year that we can now forget his greed and attitude - the whole reason we let him go despite his potential? Backwards move imo. Also not convinced he's the standard (currently) to push us higher.
I will reserve judgement on Ince until he plays a few games in the prem and im not sure he had a bad attitude or was greedy while he was with us, he left to play first team football and further his career, which he has done.
