and finally...

SATURDAY was a special day at Ibrox as 140 years of Rangers history were celebrated in a fine display of nostalgia. How wonderful to see so many heroes of the past back on the stage they performed on so well. With the exception of Bobby Brown, the goalie from the Iron Curtain team, I saw them all, from wee Johnny Hubbard to Michael Mols.

It was also a masterstroke to sign up as the man with the mic, Talksport’s wonderful Andy Gray, an old chum from the days when I reported on him when he starred for Aston Villa and Wolves , when I also ghosted his weekly newspaper column.

In fact, when he joined Villa in September 1975, I was the first reporter to interview him. In the end I conducted hundreds of interviews with Andy, the last ones when he made his boyhood dreams come true and played for Rangers. By which time the interviews were more just chats between two old pals.

But the boot will be on the other foot on Tuesday morning at 11.0am when Andy Gray is due to interview me , along with another excellent broadcaster, Richard Keys, on their terrific Talksport show.

    <yikes>

He's going to talk about Scott Symon and how he was a "better man than Jock Stein". <doh>

It says a lot about Andy Gray that he would let this ****ing nutcase have a platform to air his deluded meanderings.

As far as I am aware his participation was withdrawn 2 hours prior to the broadcast, apparently TS received complaints about the content of his book with regard to Jock Stein.

Agree about the desperation of Gray. We have to understand that Big Jock eventually brought about their club commuting suicide in a perennial attempt to win the EC. Companies House now list The Rangers Football Club as being incorporated in July this year out of SEVCO. They are like Rangers Football Club under the SIC. Of Companies House classified as 93120 category, a sports club and not 7415 a holding company, which so many sad individuals claim. Rfc died and not a holding company, as Companies House SIC classification proves. Rfc died on 14th June 2012 under the SIC of a sports club 93120. The definitive arbitrator of whether rfc were a holding company or a sports club, they were of course, the latter. This is why Leggo and the rest of MSM. Are so hateful towards Big Jock.........HE KILLED THEIR CLUB AND THEY KNOW IT.

PS. Wavetower became Rangers Group Ltd the holding company for rfc are still actually active with a motion to strike off. So the story that it was the holding company that died is a lie..........the holding company is still active rfc is dead, pure and simple.

[h=2]Friday, 14 December 2012[/h][h=3]JIM TRAYNOR.....THE TRUTH![/h]THE years of dignified silence being the only sound to come from inside Ibrox are now well and truly over.

As I remarked recently to a Rangers director, even Buckingham Palace has abandoned dignified silence. He nodded his agreement.

Just three days after we exchanged those views, what those in the know had known for a week, the fact that Jim Traynor was joining Rangers as the new club’s new Head of Communications, became official.
And within hours of the announcement being made, Traynor was in the Media Room and on the Press Gallery at Ibrox for the match against Stirling Albion.

That’s the familiar Traynor terrain and I that is where he will remain a formidable presence, right at the heart of the areas where the hacks huddle, rather than settling back in the more opulent surroundings of the Directors’ Box and the Blue Room.

For that’s the Jim Traynor I have known for the best part of thirty years. A man of the people, though most certainly not one of ‘The People.’ For Traynor is a proud Airdrieonian and he supports Airdrie. That is something which he has never tried to hide.<laugh>

And unlike many journalists who claim to support one team or another, while attempting to keep secret their Old Firm allegiance, Jim Traynor’s support for Airdrie - Airdrieonians that were and Airdrie United that is - is as honest as the day’s long in mid June. <laugh>

He has not, as one chief executive remarked, (And Davie Provan) spent a 37-year apprenticeship training for the Rangers job. I’ll leave you to work out which bitter, twisted snarling lips this insult tripped from. (So Davie Provan must have snarling, twisted lips too?)

What he has done for the last 37 years years is work hard and well to build a range of contacts which made him the best connected sports reporter of his generation. (Unfortunately his "Range" of contacts seem to be all based at Ibrox)

He has also, always be frank and fearless, calling the shots as he honestly saw them, no matter who he upset.

In fact, Traynor’s transparent honesty and bravery was clear to see in valedictory column in what used to be the Daily Record, but which now, without his presence to provide journalistic integrity, has become the Daily Rhebel, with its spineless editor, Alan Pussy Rennie cowering his acquiescence to the Rhebels’s commercial partners, Celtic and the all powerful Peter Lawwell. (So Lawell is running the DR now amongst his other dastardly works)
While rabid Celtic supporter and sports editor, Austin Barrett, toes the party line and refuses to take on Celtic after they banned one of his sport writers, which is a clear and cowardly abdication of his duty. (ffs)
No wonder Traynor quit the Daily Rhebel. No decent, honest and honourable journalist would want to have his professional working life polluted by such an environment. (Yet he worked there for near 20 years?)
And the one thing I have always known about Jim Traynor is that he is an decent, honest and honourable journalist, as well as being a decent, honest and honourable man. With a wicked sense of humour. And now he is Rangers’ decent, honest and honourable journalist, now he is Rangers’ decent, honest and honourable man. <laugh>
One who will ruffle a few feathers and upset more than a few apple carts, including, no doubt, mine when we disagree, as we often have over the last 30 years. But one thing he will not be, is silent. The era of Rangers being kicked around while maintaining dignified silence, is well and truly over.

    A public admission, thanks Leggo.

Rest of it reads like a rushed attempt at having something - anything - to say.

    <laugh> Hahahaha classic pished Leggo.

Heres's some McMurdo, can't be arsed trawling for my thread on him.

The real danger facing Rangers is not the external enemies who seek to inflict maximum damage on the club. Their seething hatred cannot be hidden and so you can see them coming from miles away. No, the real danger is the splits and factions within the support fighting with each other while the real enemies look on and laugh. The Rangers family cannot afford to have its internal disputes and differences broadcast to a watching world.
As regards the comments section, no abuse of fellow bears or fan groups will make it past moderation. I get a lot of comments from Celtic fans. Abusive comments, speaking about Rangers as a new club or snide remarks will not make the cut so don’t waste your time if that is the nature of your post. Everybody who comments should be aware you are responsible for what you say. I don’t want to disable comments but I will if people abuse the privilege or persist in abusing each other.

Which is why it was a grievous thing for me yesterday to see old divisions re-surface among Rangers fans, leading to me having to warn those who post comments on my blog that slagging off fellow bluenoses and other supporter groups would not be tolerated in the comments section

He won’t tolerate “slagging off fellow bluenoses and other supporter groups in the comments section”.
This is a sample of what he will tolerate though:-

Honestly, where do this lot get their moral compass? I blame the schools personally.Lennon had no other choice, given the nature of the incident, but why wait so long? Did they have to clear it with Gerry Adams first?

To cut a long story short – the kaffliks have killed more people than any other government or group, ever.

The Roman Instituiton have murdered more innocent people in history, the Roman instutions make it their duty to eradicate those that do not follow the rule of Rome. Aztecs, Incas, Vadious, Hugonauts, Hanovarians, Cathars even there own Knights Templar, my God man wake up. Rome is pure political dressed up as a faith

you’ve opened a bag of worms, your defence of the scumbags that inhabit the GLITTERDOME is a step too far.as you can see our wonderful WATPF, MR T CUR, have allowed you to benefit from a BALANCED view of history, rather than a twisted catholic view, you’ve gone too far taking on these guys. G.S.O.Q.

Even at infant school they are indoctrinated – they call it playdoughphilia……..

why do you think the lurgan bigot is any different than ira loving stokes, i have it on good authority that he is NO different. the japanese general should have dealt with this, is it acceptable that this is nothing other than, if you walk past him[stokes] silly ****. that i believe is the level of condemnation of stokes by the other bigot.this whole club is an embarressment to society, they have a history of evil against the weak, the dis-advantaged, they are rotten to the ****ing core, i’m not having a go at you pal, but, a leopard does’nt change it’s spots. i laughed at this on the back pages this morning, it’s taken about 2 weeks for this earth shattering statement, remember, they have no SHAME, they will not acknowledge the COVER-UP at TORBET TOWERS, don’t jump on this particular bus of praise for this rancid mob, the lurgan bigot can’t even give praise to any team that beat them. they don’t deserve any credit, this should have been dealt with the day after it happened.or as near to as possible. they are STILL THE SAME MHANKY MOB. G.S.O.Q.

There is some bear on bear action over the share issue. The RST are organising Zombies to buy shares in the new club. But the shares will be RST shares rather than individual shares. Folk are getting spooked... or pretending to get spooked as only a ***** would buy shares in that club (The Rangers shareholders only had shares in the holding company<wink wink>)

Weren't some of them accusing the RST (well, Dungwall in particular) of raising money for something and keeping it?

I'm sure this was before the share issue, though.

I thought it was something to do with the RFFF.

I'm sure the "confirmed bachelor" has spent it on ladyboys already, though.
