I have voted draw, but I can see there's some real optimists out there...

I would pretty much accept a decent performance as long as we don't get beat by 3 or 4, but Yaya pumped us last year, and though he's played shocking so far, we seem to have a habit of ending shocking runs for the opposition this year <wah>

If we can defend better than we usually do and get behind them (and Citeh play Stroppyontelli), I think we can hold out for a draw.

    Likely line up for City
    Hart
    Zabaleta K Toure Nastasic Clichy
    Garcia Barry
    Tevez Y Toure Silva
    Aguero

Milner may be fit so he would play in place of Garcia

Must be quite frustrating for Geordies when it's clear to anyone that the squad is far too thin to compete in the PL.
The spine of the team with Krul Collocini Cabaye Ben Arfa & Demba is obviously of a top 4/6 strength side but any injuries and it can quickly become a bottom 6 team with little strength in depth.
The youngsters like Birgimana(spelling?) have had to step in far more than often you would want them to,although from what I've seen Shane Ferguson seems to have stepped up to the plate, and it can hamper their progress at times when dipping them in and out to suit can be much better for them.A couple of quality additions to the squad would've enabled Pardew to continue with the momentum from last season rather than flatten out and tail off, presumably the owner keeping a tight rein on the purse strings?
That's how it looks as an outsider so to speak

I don't think its fair you start Tevez/Aguero against us but no one else. What have we done? <grr><grr> Seriously though why doesn't Mancini do it more often?

That statement doesn't really explain your presence here then, does it?

As for the match... I can see us scoring a goal as the pressure will be off us, sadly Man City will score at least 3.

I'll still watch but it's getting really depressing and worrying now... It's going to put off potential signings.

A 2-3 home loss to Manchester United on Sunday means that it's three games since Roberto Mancini's side won in any competition.

It's not impossible to get anything out of the game, I'm still hoping for a win if our guys gel the way we know they can.

With Lescott off we should be able to win.
