For ****'s sake Cym. Can't you get it through your thick Welsh skull that out shareholders don't take dividends?
Good grief, supporting Arsenal is like an Accountants wetdream. There is more talk about Arsenal's finances than their actual football!
That's utter Gobshite from the number one purveyor of Gobshite - I can only surmise that you're either as thick as two planks or you're just wumming. For somebody to come out and say 'I know this is what Wenger said to his players' is ****ing ludicrous. It's no wonder nobody takes you seriously on this forum.
You're clearly missing the point. I'm as cool as a cucumber mate. What I'm saying is that you try to pass off bullshit as fact, when in fact it's just bullshit
You keep talking **** and then repeating the same ****. I'm not mad or upset with you, I just think you're a mouthy little gobshite who spouts bullshit Prove to me that you're not talking ****e by giving me some evidence that Wenger prasied his players in the dressing room after the game on Tues night.
Anyway ignoring the child and getting back to the thread I think it will be difficult to assess whether this January will see Wenger 'spending big' as it's such a notoriously difficult time to buy top players. Most of the best ones are involved in Champions League campaigns with their clubs and contract negotiations are usually best conducted in the summer when players have more time to assess their positions. I'm not saying it can't be done in January, but I don't think we should judge Wenger's willingness to spend based on this transfer window alone. I think we need to give him this January and a full summer window, with said 'considerable' funds to make an informed assessment.
Granted but there is talent out there. I'd be pleased with strootman and huntelaar, or possibly lorente
I think people forget that we've spent plenty of money in recent seasons, our issue is that the players we've bought in have been inferior to the players we've sold. When you offload the talent like Cole, Henry, Vieira, Fabregas, Adebeyor, Clichy, Nasri, RVP etc etc etc and replace with the likes of Jenkinson, Squilaci, Gervinho and Chamakh you can't expect the squad to be as good as it has been in previous seasons. We can debate whether the players we sold were good transactions in terms of finance or not but for pure ability this squad is the weakest I can remember in the AW era. Reading/hearing the comments from Gazidas last night I get the impression he's not entirely happy with our deals and therefore unlikely to be entirely happy with the boss - I aslo hear on good authority that the spat with Bould is real and has been going on for a few weeks. Didn't Gazidas acknowledge that we are a club in crisis ? Strong words....
I would be pretty pleased if we signed two of these three. I don't know much about Strootman, but from what I've seen he looks like a good strong box to box player. Lorrente looks like a quality player, but I'm not sure we'd get him, especially in January. Huntelaar is a mixed bag, but I think Wenger would get the best out of him.
Friends who house academy kids - they get pretty much access all areas at the club. None of the academy players have said anything I should add.....
