Well, Wondoloski in the MLS has said in the media he is open to offers in Europe. He was the top mls scorrer this season with 27 goals. He is 29 years old, 6ft 1. I watched him play on tv alot since I live in CA. He seemed to score most of them from headers. I do not think he would be all that prolific, when I watch him he just does not look that special. Still he does put the ball in the net. He is on the US national team although he isnt a regular. He certainly wouldnt cost much as the average mls salary is only 90,000 pounds a year.
Suppose that's what you want from a player, they don't have to have grace and guile; we have plenty of that in Aluko. We just need somebody to get those crosses converted into goals.
Apparently, he's going to Manchester City but will remain on loan at Palace till the end of the Season.
With players like Austin there will obviously be interest and he'll probably leave Burnley but while PL clubs might be interested they'll have other targets whereas he'd be our top target. If we came in nice and early (late this month even) and said something along the lines of what Tommy said, offer a decent fee and wage, make our intentions clear and see if he's interested. He might well tell us to get ****ed because he wants to wait for a PL club but he have to test the water.
We haven't got a prayer of getting Austin, Reading are looking at a £4m bid and even Liverpool have been linked with a move, I expect him to go for over £6m.
Glad you think so . TWT on that one . As for £6m I think the phone is ringing in your pot and kettle dept ! [NSFW]I did not know that OLM, out of our league then I guess.[/NSFW]
