Not come across that one Donga. I'll get it ordered. My book present from my daughters is already in hand - The Extended Phenotype by Dawkins.

Yes mate - feeling a lot better thanks.

Still don't know what to buy my wife for Christmas though. I've completely run out of ideas and everything I mention to her is getting a big no-no (understandably given some of my ideas <laugh>)

    I can't complain, I'm getting a new guitar amp <ok>

    Excellent suggestions!

Looks like we're hitting John Lewis tonight, so fingers crossed I'll find something in there.
I do most of my shopping online, so having to physically visit a shop <yikes> is going to be weird

The main issue with Hydrogen is the energy required to create it. It's also relatively inefficient as a fuel & therefore the transportation & network costs etc will be high.

There's been conspiracy theories around this issue for 20 or 30 years in the motor industry though.

Almost all people in civil office are careerists mofos.

They make important decisions a lot of the time dictated on how it will affect their careers. SYP as a whole for example, and politicians.. all of em.. are the same.

Read it. Read all Dawkins books, and he manages to simplify things at my idiot level so that you begin to understand how in-organic molecules can start re-orginising and replecating their structure (just like ice and carbon structures) given the right chemistry. So much better when he steers clear of religion.

    here's those links:

It's in pdf, so if you convert it on Calibre you can read it on Kindle.

Thanks Donga. He can't help the religion thing. It incenses him.

I'm one of those traditionalists who sticks to ink and paper. I like books <ok>

Wait until they've gone out on the piss, then pack up all their belongings & place them in the garage.

Then when they return, introduce them to Dmitrijs the Latvian car washer that you've rented their room out to.

    Subtle but effective <ok>

Ah but then your kid announces he's Gay and has been in a relationship with Dmitrijs for months. Then asks for your help to get his stuff from the garage

haha, you could try buying them the DVD of "Failure to Launch" & insist on playing it on Xmas afternoon, whilst sat there pointing at the screen & then nodding at your offspring.

The only time I found the atmosphere on The Kop bettered was the EC semi-final 1st leg in 1965 after we'd won the FA Cup for the 1st time on the Saturday
