Unbelievably, Barnsley full back Scott Wiseman has been linked with a move to Aston Villa and Reading.

Could he be the next Jon Walters style "****, we should have kept him?" or is it more a case of "He was ****, glad he left but happy he's turned his career around".

I can't remember if he got a "please welcome back" when Barnsley came to the KC?

Whatever happens to him, good luck to the lad.

I'm pleased for him , he wasn't great when he was here but he's obviously worked hard and improved as a player

He even played for North Ferriby a couple of seasons ago in the Billy Bly trophy against City.

I always quite liked Wiseman, he was just too soft when he was with us.

He doesn't look anywhere near being a Premier League player though, I'd be amazed if any Premier League comes in for him, particularly as this story seems to have come from The Sun(though the clubs mentioned were actually Southampton and Reading).

    Are you sure about that?

He left us for Darlington in 2007 and he's never been without a club.

Blame Peter Taylor for this one. I rated Scott Wiseman but he needed 2 years away on loan. Look at him now. Hope that Steve Bruce does not make the same mistake over Liam Cooper. Yes Wiseman did get a good ovation when he came back.

Glad for the lad if a PL move comes off in January. Sadly both Villa and Reading could be both championship clubs next May. Reading without a doubt.

Scotty was in my team when I played for the centre of excellence! He was a skinny lad and certainly not the one I would have thought would have made it to the championship.

This is quite surprising. I never thought he'd make it above Championship level.
