The laps where the driver absolutely nailed every inch of the lap, dragged 100% of the cars performance out and no other driver on the grid could have matched him in that moment. Which were the top 5 perfect laps of the year?
Off the top of my head with no research: 1. Schuey - Monaco (Unexpected) 2. Jenson - Spa (The perfect driver/car/lap) 3. Alonso - Hockenheim (Mixed conditions) 4. Vettle - Austin (New track and a mix of power and downforce requirement. Him & Lewis were class of the field by half a second) 5. Lewis - Interlagos (Only beat Jenson by a tenth but a track that Mclaren have rarely maximised in recent years it was a very fast time in difficult conditions) Special Mention: Lewis - Barca (I know he was underfuled but you could have put another 5 laps in and he would have still had pole!) 4.
1. Rosberg: Shanghai (absolutely faultless lap) 2. Alonso: Silverstone (very difficult conditions) 3. Button: Spa (in a class of his own the entire quali) 4. Maldonado: Barcelona (no-one expected that!) 5. Ricciardo: Sakhir (great work in a sucky car, unfortunately lost it early)
1: Lewis at Hungary, was all by himself all week. 2: Seb at Canada, car still bit of a mess and upgrades bought in were banned. 3: Alonso at Britain, quality considering the weather changing all the time. 4: Schumacher at Monaco, same as smithers. 5: Seb at Austin, was almost flawless against Lewis who was also quick.
1. Rosberg - China - Perfect Lap 2. Alonso - Germany - On the limit 3. Hamilton - Singapore - Street circuit mastery 4. Schumacher - Monaco - Nailed it unexpectedly 5. Seb - India - Untouchable
1. Hamilton - Abu Dhabi 2. Button - Spa 3. Schumacher - Monaco 4. Vettel - Canada 5. Alonso - Germany
In chronological order: 1. Ricciardo 6th at Bahrain 2. Schumacher 1st at Monaco 3. Alonso 1st at Hockenheim 4. Button 1st at Spa 5. Perez 8th at India
