hello all. If you know me you know i'm not on much. Apologies for that and if this has already been discussed. my point is - even after today's wonderful result - Bruce has to go. Which manager, having all those injuries, would then have full, hard training sessions which resulted in Turner crashing into Mensah, therefore putting one out of action? We have terrible injury problems which have been down to idiotic training regimes. before todays LUCKY result we were and still are right in the clarts for a starting 11.. He has to go. If it was proper business he would be sacked for incompetance, Do you trust him with 50 or 60 million before August? I dont.

If todays result was lucky, you could argue every defeat was unlucky.

This has been done to death man, he ain't going anywhere so stop bleating on about it.

bruce in-bruce out, we're all divided,

  4. Personally, I'd love him to go as manager as he is tactically clueless. Maybe keep him on as a scout or whatever as he does have an eye for a player. I'm in no way convinced after today but it's a brilliant result and that is whats matter. A good night ahead for a few & well deserved..

I dont think he will get anywhere near 50-60 million unless he sells 30-40 million.

Training i cant really comment as i have never seen them train, but on the flip side of your argument, Henderson has played nearly every minute this season, only missed 1-2 games and that was for resting not injuries, i know thats only 1 player, but he is still young and growing/getting stronger, so if anyone was going to get injured through hard training, i would guess he would have been high on the list.

and if they were taking it easy in training, all players fit, but they couldnt last 45 minutes, and getting turned over every second half, you would still be asking for Bruces head on a plate. sometimes the managers (not just Bruce) just cant win.

Hey. OK. So sorry about bleating on about SAFC. Aren't I a bad man, I mean, being upset at mediocraty about my team. Sorry to NOT accept the crap excuses about injuries, officials, wind directions or cosmic potentials. I blame BRUCE, I blame whoever said Bent could go in January. Live the dream, boys and girls who want to. In Jan we were 7th. Look at our position now. World class innit?

You cannot lay the blame for injuries at Bruce's door, the players are human and will get injured - its not farmville, its real life.

He is a victim of the teams run of results prior to christmas, the fans should have managed their expectations better, this is Sunderland..........you knew disappointment lurks behind every turn.

Mind, I cannot believe he will get away with it again next season

    You say excuses about injuries.

start of the season, Everton had loads = bottom 3-4 for the 1st few games
Chelsea had Terry/lampard out = Bad run of 8 games i think it was, we beat them 0-3 ffs (not taking anything way from that)

tactically inept?, again start of the season when we were 7th at xmas, no one was saying that about him then, but get a whole 1st team injured, and bring in 1 new player that is not used to the PL, backup GK playing, and another player who didnt really get a look in with his previous club and they dont gel straight away, it can cause problems.

A lot of fans on here were saying, dont play zendon he is slow, he played zendon today and he was man of the match from a few fans.

He is the manager! He has to ask every medicant how everyone is! "Can I play Gyan Saturday"

    "No"

    "ok"

So. Why cant they play? Not overly injured in games OR lying about injuries. I would lie!.... However, people are there to check the athletes out! Bruce is wrong, or the players are lying and the medical staff! Easy to check a bodie's condition these days. Bruce to go - if only because he is a liar.

Don't get rid of him. The players he's signed have all been excellent (apart from Riveros, Angeleri and Da Silva), and we've still had e very good season; even though we've won 2 of the last 12 games we're still gunning for top 10. Would you have said bruce out when we were beating Chelsea and 6th in the league? This is progress, we can still finish top 10 and build on it next season. And he's better than MON anyway (in my eyes, I know some would disagree)

How can anyone say that this has been a good season? So a good season is being almost safe with 2 games to go? Pathetic.

I'm still reserving judgement on Muntari. He's a top quality player, it's just his mentality since coming here. He might get better in the next couple of games, and anyway we didn't use any money on him, he was a useful stop-gap when we needed another midfielder.

  16. Get the gist to where you are coming from but as a manager Bruce is the brave heart without a clue. Iv'e cringed this season watching his aftermath interviews, cringed at his selections and cringed at his substitutions. Last weekend was the worst managerial nonsense since Allan Brown. Like I said, we deserve a good night after the debacle since January so hopefully we will have one..

ps, hows life in Guisborough marra?

hmm scaring me now lol, how do you know i live in Guisborough, i may have said it 2 years ago on 606 but i usually just say south of boro.

but boring as hell if you must know, its nice but sod all to do and no bloody jobs anywhere down here, Blyth was a worse area, but at least there was things to do and jobs to fill. (if you encompass the toon in that as well)

You were naive if you thought we would maintain the 7th position, if you live the dream it often turns into a nightmare - and that what has happened to you Bobbyparks.

Did Everton get rid of Moyes after their poor start to the season? Did Chelsea sack their manager after chucking away the title(as some Chelsea fans would see it?), did we sack Reid after getting relegated the first time under his reign. The results achieved and style of play when we had a fit squad(and Bent) convinced me Bruce has brought the club on.

But this is only my opinion Bobbyparks.

    Absolutely spot on. +1
The hypocrisy from some people drives me absolutely nuts - at christmas all we heard was "bring on europe", "SNQ and Bruce should be knighted" and now look how quick people are to turn against the manager.

Yes, Bruce might not always make the right choices, and he might sound like a stuck record in his interviews... but he's only human and he's the best we've had since Reidy. He's had bad luck with injuries and the bent saga (whatever the motivation for letting him go was) but realistically, who else would we attract in? and who else would do a better job?

Brucey's got a good eye for a signing and an everday bloke doing a job under immense pressure. cut the man some slack

Bonnybobbyparks - i suggest unless we qualify for Europe or win a trophy we will never have a good season in your eyes - no wonder you are frustrated.

A good season, no - however there have been some notable results - beating Chelsea, Man City, exciting draws against Liverpool & Arsenal spring to mind - however we have played good football, better than I have seen from a Sunderland team in a long time.

Yes we have played badly at times - and there are reasons for this(you would say excuses) - however Bent being sold was the turning point in my mind and I don't believe Bruce is responsible for this - every player has his price.
