So, for any of you who venture into the kitchen it is nearly that time of year when thoughts turn to turkey and all the trimmings. Question is which (if any) of the celebrity chefs do you nick ideas from? All their shows are on TV at the moment but do you use any of their recipes? Delia - can't really go wrong, traditional and safe Nigella - bound to be covered in booze or honey (her food, not her tits so calm down) Heston - if you like the idea of pickled platypus eggs on a bed of yak hair Jamie - if you like your food to look and taste like sh1te because he knows feck all about cooking, fat tongued lisping twat that he is Fanny - no idea what her recipes are like but I always like the excuse to say Fanny (Fanny loves stuffing, I want Fanny crackling etc) Posted ages ago about loving Christmas and looking forward to doing the dinner. The Ranger household are getting the following; Turkey Gammon glazed with maple syrup Pigs in blankets Sausagemeat stuffing Roast spuds Roast parsnips Carrots Broccoli Peas Sweetcorn Yorkshire puds Gravy
The only one I have any time for is Huge ****ingly-Whatshisname 'cause he at least goes out and catches what he eats unlike the 'blokes' on here who buy a turkey from Tesco, cook it on Xmas day and think they're real men. Bunch of ****ing mincers.
I used to do starters but they ended up being near enough the size of dinners themselves and nobody could face the mountain of food I'd dish up for the main course! Now I just get the grub on the table as close to the Queen's beel as possible and we all dig in. We have to wait a few hours before contemplating anything for pudding/dessert/afters and tend to go for something like ice cream because nobody round at ours likes traditional Christmas pud. I make a sublime mince pie so if they are still peckish they go down well. Into the evening and out come the nuts, crisps, pringles, quality street, celebrations, roses, heros, after eight mints, toblerone, terry's chocolate orange, rennies, sick bag etc. Next day is the best bit, cold meats & stuffing sandwiches. I love Christmas me!
Pot Noodle for starter Microchips and Turkey Dinosaur shapes for Main Tesco Neopolitan for dessert Sorted
He might rear his own stuff but he's a self righteous, self promoting, patronising, supercilious, stuck up ****. "oh it breaks my heart wehn people buy a battery chicken form tescos rather than a free range one form Waitrose - they are so cruel". Tell you what Hugh - trade in your river cottage for a 9th floor high rise bringing up 3 kids on your own and see how many times you can go to Waitrose you waste of skin.
I know. I just didnlt want to pass the opportunity to have a go at that ****head - he really does my nut in. Not that you'd notice it of course.
. No chance of that - they don't have double barrelled names. Double barelled shotguns yeah but......
