Hard work being a mason. Lots of heavy lifting and bending down and even though there are regulations on what weights can be lifted (25kg) many slabs are still weighing in at nearly double that. Even though lifting aids are available not many contractors use them and back injuries amongst masons are common.

You could go down the artisan mason route where you get to do ornamental stonework such as church restoration but this is a hard game to get into and apprenticeships or college courses are few and far between.

Good luck with it, I'm sure it would be a rewarding career.

Oh, in that case you need to be able to take a bribe, force others to take a bribe, disregard any form of auditable procurement practices, commit perjury should you end up in court, ignore the laws that the rest of us abide by and be prepared to join an elitist bunch of fascist sympathisers.

And supporting Scotty Rangers helps, plenty of funny handshake merchants north of the border. Allegedly.

    No.

Freemasonry is open to anyone who believes in a Supreme Being (whatever that means), so it's open to everybody be they Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Jane, Sikh, Baha'i or anything else.

However, the reason why many Catholics don't join is the conflict of interest between keeping Masonic secrets and the Confessional.

Perhaps, but as they say, it won't make a bad man good but it will make a good man better.

One mason I know was a copper and he was feeding info from the national police computer to two other masons I know who were working in security.

Not sure about making a good man better, these three were as bent as.
