It's hilarious how we've played good football all season, and yet morons who support so-called big clubs like Wolves, Forest, Blackburn and to a lesser extent Leeds make out that our team is one of brutes who only want to hoof and hack.
Reading didn't have any consistency last season until after we beat them in January. IF we get things right in the January transfer window (i.e. get a proven goalscorer to replace Fryatt and sell Maclean to fund the purchase of another goalscorer - which is what we need to do IMHO) then we will be in with a shout of winning the league.
McLean's time is up IMO. I like his work rate, and he always gives 100% for the team, but you sign a striker to score goals. He scores 5/6 a Season and it's not good enough. He had his start and chance of redemption against Forest and he didn't take it. We should flog him back to Posh for the same price we bought him.
Just for a laugh(and for the benefit of the Football League Show), we should arrive at one game in this.. please log in to view this image
That was when Jason Robert joined them, and seemed to be their turning point to the season, we need someone that can have a similar impact to push us to promotion.
Although I'd like to think he's right I cant see the Watford bloke being right. Although were decent all round I think cardiff have a bit more firepower and Leicester do as well (as much as I hate to say it). How well we do in the 2nd part of the season will be IMO down to just what happens in January. If we can get a decent goalscorer, Someone in the ilk of FC, and get a regular first choice keeper permanently signed, Possibly Stockdale. Then barring any major disasters on the pitch I see no reason as to why we can't cement a top 6 place.
Barnsley's manager Keith Hill said Watford were by far the best team they had faced this season and then they go and lose to us so whilst good comments are nice to hear lets keep our feet on the ground and carry on and then hopefully towards the end of the season we will be receiving many more nice comments
That is the sole reason I want us to go up, so the city can be full of tiger print double decker buses!
If I'm going to get mowed down by a bus outside St Stephens, I'd definitely rather be taken out by a tiger bus...
If you were to be mowed down on a crossing by the tiger bus, you would have tiger strips on side and Zebra on the other.
If you don't like that bus you probably deserve to be mown down by it. Or you just don't support City.
AGREED. IMO ONLY THE M'BORO away game should we have lost. Lesta away Poszzy should have made it 2-2 at the end and only a crazy Linesmans flag stop Simpson goal making that game 2-2. The 3 home losses have been all self inflicted by not being goog enough on the day. So yes IF City keep there A game going or even the B games then we can win this league. imo as well.
Yes i was there. Yes We were poor but still Nick Proschwitz had that header cleared off the line at the death and they race up the pitch to make it 3-1. IT SHOULD HAVE ENDED 2-2 LIKE.
Why should it have ended 2-2? they blocked Proschwitz header and our only other chance we scored. They had a few clear cut chances INCLUDING goal line clearances/blocks and Amos making 2 class saves from 1 on 1's. Leicester were by far the better team and we deserved nothing. Utter drivel and tosh.
When (note: when) City get back to the Prem, all the Zebra crossings should be re-painted in black and amber....
