has anyone seen him play for Blackpool, and if so has he been any good? what worries me is that great if he did leave to get regular football(good to see it isn't all about the money if true) but is he expecting to be used in the same way as Sterling(is he good enough to be as well), cant see it myself, probably be more used like Wisdom,Assiadi etc which i doubt he is looking for at his age.
Not seen him but he would need to be performing wonders in that league for me to be convinced. Pacheco and Spearing have both done well in the championship and neither have cut it in the Premier League. Of course, that does not mean it will be the same for Ince but it certainly isn't home banker either
I think he has about 10 goals this season? And a few assists as well. I think he would be a good investment. He's a player who is used to our system, knows the personnel and can ease in. Anyone remember when we really lacked balance in our team (under Rafa) when we had predominantly right footed players? Now we have the likes of Suso, Enrique and potentially Ince and Sturridge.

So if they sold him to someone else for £6mill we'd get the £2 mill anyway Instead we're getting back a moody lad who wasn't good enough for the first team squad first time round. Genius. As for Sturridge, where is he going to play for starters? In the middle of the 3 where he wants to play? I thought the the middle player of the 3 was supposed to play as a "false" 9 (or centre forward as it used to be known). Well Sturridge can't pass and doesn't work hard enough to play there. Or are we going to play him out wide when he can't pass and he'll start sulking about not playing up front? Or option 3 is he going to be a very expensive sub like Borini (who will then become a very expensive reserve player)? I've got a better idea. Use the £18 million to buy a class striker...or 9 Michus
I think he would play from one of the wide spots. However, Rodgers has said he wants Suarez as a F9 and that the wide players need to take more responsibility for scoring the goals. Effectively, the wide players are playing upfront, they just need to put a bit of work into defending too
Firstly Sturridge isn't happy playing out wide...secondly how often have our two wide forwards been getting into the box so far this season? Rarely and that's not down to the players its down to the system. It requires a game intelligence that young players rarely have and some players never attain all career. The one player who's looked like he suits the role has been Enrique, the few times he's played there because he understands how to link up with Suarez. It's useless having pace out wide when you take 20 passes to get over the half way line and as far as I can see pace is about the only asset Sturridge has.
I don't agree. On the documentary we were all subjected to earlier this year, Rodgers was encouraging Sterling to get forward and into the box, trying to get him to exploit the space that Suarez created. I don't think we have had the players to do this and IMO this is where Brendan will look to improve rather than CF. Edit: I don't think we should be signing Sturridge by the way, same for Walcott and Ince
I know you don't mate, I realise you can see the insanity in it and are playing devils advoccate to a certain extent Fortunately I wasn't subjected to the documentary because after the first ten minutes I found the whole thing excruciatingly bad. However whatever BR said to Sterling it hasn't worked because (using the evidence of my own eyes) the wide players just haven't been in a position to get in there because they haven't got the footballing brains to read the game in the same way as Suarez (who in this formation is actually supposed to be a link man as much as a goalscorer). Will Sturridge change that? Not from what I've seen of him he won't. Here's a question for all those so keen...if Sturridge does come in and take one of the wide berths will you be quite so happy if that relegates Sterling to the bench and ultimately leads to him moving elsewhere?
