Would you pay for Danny Rose? One thing all Sunderland fans agree on at the moment is that we want Danny Rose signed up in January, he's the left back we have been looking for for years. Obviously he's young and English so that may bump up the price, plus we may face competition from other clubs but hopefully the lad realises the fans love him here and he seems settled. I wouldn't mind if we forked out as much as 8m for the lad, I think he's that good.
Agreed, he's absolutely class, far superior to BAE in my opinion, which is why I'm worried Spurs might end up wanting to keep him!
Up to as much as 12m He's 22, getting better with everygame in a position we have struggled with since micky gray left. The lad is going to go on and be a top player and IMO succeed Cole as England's left back. 12m would be very well spent on him to be our left back for the next 4 or 5 season's

I think I heard he has only played 30 games in 5 seasons at Spurs so surely they wont want much for him. Then again with Leavy doing the negotiations he will probably ask for £20m.
8m but I'd be wanting him for less if I was Sunderland. Listening to O'Neill it sounds like there is only one choice for him so the likes of Liverpool's interest is not such a threat. Also he'll look at Enriques form there (swapping between left back/left midfield) and will not be interested in waiting for a chance. The rest of the top 6/7 have top class left backs/wingers. I'm sure Sunderland would have negotiated a buy clause to be honest - probably around the 5m mark. If not Villas Boas may fancy just letting him see the season out and then seeing how he has developed in comparison to Assou Ekoto. It sounds to me like Rose has already made his mind up though.
What ever Mr Short is willing to pay the lad is top class. I think we will pay around 6-7m to keep him. But we could also have a price agreed (which i hope we have)
I've heard (only rumour mind) that we have a pre-agreement with spurs for £5m - If this is true then surely that'd be the best deal since Demba Ba went to the dark side for free!!
In no way is he better than Bale! When he first came, I think the fee would have been about 4-5m and hopefully we have already agreed price. On current form and Levy being the tit he is, it will probably be doubled. Quality player and we must sign him

There's talk that Assou Ekoto is demanding.g ridiculous wages that Spurs scoffed at so I Wouldnt be too shocked if he is sold and Rose goes back to Spurs. Welbeck all over again. The downside of loan deals unfortunately
