Nah. It's funnier this way <rofl>
Though to be honest, if Arsenal do not win a title this season then AW should leave IMO

Whether we win anything or not it's not time for Wenger to go. He has seen us through a difficult financial period and now when we are finally going to get some proper money to spend it would be a travesty to not give him the opportunity to bring in the players he wants and have a real go at the league again.

I think this season is Wenger's last. He looks like a man that needs a change, and we look like a club that also needs a change. It will hopefully be mutual and I hope the great man can somehow guide us into the CL places and hopefully give the new guy something build on.

No it won't. It may give us an indication of how he means to go on, but it is hard to do business in January so i wouldn't expect miracles.

Tbh if we get Henry, Huntelaar and one other we will have done very well.

Summer is the time to see how the club is going to really move forward and that si what i'll be waiting for to see if the latest stuff about our financial position holds any weight.

I think AW might leav too as well. Regardless of anything that happened he'll be an Arsenal Legend. I think he could bring a 3rd place finish, a CL Semi-Fianl and a FA Cup win

I agree with this, but I'm not sure he'll get the chance if we finish outside the top 4 this season.

I want him to resign now, with his head held high. If he goes now, people may mention our poor run briefly, but they'll look back on the many great things he's done for us, and english football in general. If he stays until the end of the season, and we fail to make 4th, it tarnishes his reputation further, and it increases the likelihood of him getting sacked, which is bad for both parties. The Wenger out movement is growing in numbers each week, it's better to jump before you get pushed.

@superjack - that may be what you want but can you really see the board doing it?

I think realistically as long as Wenger as a bare minimum maintains a CL spot he will stay in his job as long as he wants it. The board have incredible faith in him. He has brought us our best period of success and since then in 7 trophyless seasons we have been to 3 cup finals and narrowly missed out on the league. He has ensured we hold the record for consecutive seasons in the CL and out of the group. And he has done this whilst overseeing us moving into a new stadium.

He really has done a fantastic job and i don't think because of our wobbles this season or last season that he will be on his way out anytime soon. I think Wenger is more frustrated than anyone else at how things are at the moment - i think he will spend in January and i think he will spend in the summer. And i really don' see the board getting rid of him.

And i don't think he wants to leave unil he has brought us at least anotehr trophy.

I think it would be catastrophic to sack him mid season. I agree that we need to wait until the summer and see what the board do. If they offer him the money to rebuild the squad, then he's capable of winning again. But if we finish outside of the top 4 then I think Wenger will walk.

And the board came out last year and said even if the club finished outside the top 4 Wenger would not be sacked. So i don't think there is any intention from the baord to force him out. He isn't under the same pressure as managers at clubs like Chelsea where a poor patch of form means you lose your job.

Just because there are a group of fans who don't want him - and it is a small minority - that doesn't mean there is any pressure on his job.

If Wenger re-signed tomorrow you can guarantee our season would be a total flop... what a bad idea... lol

No it isn't. It was a small minority, but it's swelling at a vast rate. Eventually the board will listen to the fans, for fear of a walkout.

I really don't see Wenger leaving Arsenal at the end of thsi season.

Firstly i don't think even if he finishes outside the top 4 that the board would get rid of him - they will show him loyalty and give him an opportunity again next season with some cash. When he goes i expect it will be a decision made in advance between him and the board and announced a season in advance.

Also i think we will still make top 4 this season and qualify for the CL - everton won't stay in it until he end and it is inconcievable that spurs could finish above us ;)

Tactically we're a shambles this season, that's on Wenger. he's playing the wrong players in the wrong positions, and it's not just a one off. We've seen numerous times that Ramsey doesn't work well as a winger, Gervinho doesn't work well as a football player etc. Wenger keeps picking them.

It could have all been so different, but Abramovich changed the game in 2003. Wenger tried to go down a the route of youth to compete but that failed and in undoing that failure, we have ended up with this current team. Can a new manager do better? FFP give us a glimmer of hope but with our resources, I think we can do better than what we have done in the previous few seasons. Meek and embarrassing exists out of cup competitions has hurt me more than our league performances. Arsene gets paid a lot of money and for that money we could possibly employ some top coaches who can start a new era. Since we last won a trophy, we have had the same flaws, with different players, different assistant managers but the manager has always been the same. He is the one consistent and his teams are making the same mistakes. Surely time has come for a change?

There is no fear of a walk-out - there is a massive waiting list for season tickets and loads of people who cannot get to games as they are priced out - the board is in a position where they can easily deal with some arsey fans not turning up.

And it is a small minority and even if ore people are joining that side fo the argument - its still a small minority at the moment. And provided we get top 4 again it will remain a small minority.
