I don't think anybody thought that Villa were going to turn us over at our home ground but it's happened. It's a real shame because we were pretty far in the cup but we still have the FA Cup and the League. In all honesty, nobody can really claim Villa didn't deserve to win, although we certainly weren't so bad as the scoreline suggests. Roll on Wigan next Saturday, and maybe this can serve as a reality check for then!
We'll see Lambert in court, hopefully he'll be leaving with a massive bill. Lets get on with the rest of this season and absolutely annihilate them when they return in the league. Now we need to focus on the next game let's not dwell any more time focussing on that oxygen thief.
I have to say even in the aftermath of this game I feel very little animosity to Paul Lambert. At the end of the day, I'm disappointed with the result but if it comforts anyone to know, Sunderland's win leaves Villa above the relegation zone only on goal difference. If they get tonked next week and we bear Wigan 1 - 0 they would still be bottom three.
