Charles you really do live in a fish bowl dont you. Let me get this straight, you have the best keeper, best defence, best midfield and best strikers in the league? Yet your not top
We own the best defender in the league and we have the best midfield in the league, yes, but we don't have the best of the best in every position- and, no unlike you, I don't live in a fish bowl.

James Chester- Games played 18, scored 1, clean sheets 4, conceded 21 Wes Morgan- Games played 21, scored 1, clean sheets 8, conceded 20.
I've no real interest in a pissing competition(I used to, I've got bored of it), but Morgan and Chester are both good defenders, the advantage that Chester has, is that he's five years younger than Morgan. Morgan is at the top of his game and may yet get a couple of years in the Premier League, but Chester is just getting started and despite being an outstanding talent, it's likely he'll improve further and he'll definitely play in the Premier League. I just hope it's with us.
So .. Chester has a better goals to game ratio and the other 2 factors are largely reliant on the rest of the defence & the 'keeper. Morgans a decent Championship defender, has been for years, will be for the next few years too. Chester will play in the Premier League for the majority of his career either with us or with someone else. This isn't a dig at Morgan, but Chester is just different class.
In the future I agree Chester probably will go on to become a better player then Morgan ever did but at this moment in time he isnt as good as Morgan. Morgan has held our defence together all season despite the fact we have had 19 year right backs playing centre half and strikers playing left back we have always looked solid because Wes Morgan has held the defence together
Yeah playing 19 year old right backs at centre half and strikers at left back is the recipe for success Chester isnt at Morgan's level yet, but as I said, in the future Chester will probably be a better player then Morgan ever was
Whereas I'm sure playing in a back 3 containing calamity-McShane makes things easy for Chezzy. I disagree, I think even at 23 Chester is better than Morgan, but Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, only opinions, make the world go round.
I think Chester has far more technical ability, but obviously has far less experience, so that levels the playing field, but we certainly wouldn't want to swap.
Im not saying you would, at this moment in time I wouldnt swap Morgan for anyone in this league. He is at the right time of his career for us. Nigel only said recently he has looked to build the team around Wes Morgan and as you know with Chester and Hobbs, Nigel knows a good centre half when he sees one
If Chester has better technical ability then he'd be in the PL. Wes' positioning, tackling, heading and marking are extraotdinarily good for someone at this level. He's flourished under Nigel and has gone from being a good defender to an exceptional one.
He only started playing in the Championship last year, you think Premier League clubs start bidding after a couple of dozen games? We're lucky he likes it round here, or we could be in danger of losing him already, fortunately he is happy and is already in talks over a new contract.
