So its onto our next game on Saturday and were back at the KC, lets hope we can get back to winning ways after our last two home games and has we all know one point from a possible six isn't good enough for a team chasing promotion, i know we have made up for it with our away games which has been great but we really need to get back to taking three points at home. Don't forget its a 12.30 kick off
12:30 kick off sucks. I have to wake up at 4am to listen to it. I might as well just not go to sleep.
Humberside Police orders. I'm guessing they're scared it'll kick off again like it did back in 2004. It's ****e footage. Found when looking for City vids on Amber Nectar's youtube page. Last time we played at their place it was an early kick off and all.
I think the West Yorkshire toughs bit off more than they could chew that day and won't be coming back in a hurry. Our own supporters were victimised by the vindictive local police and so it ended up that visiting yobs attacking all and sundry in Walton street car park= 1 arrest Local fans fighting back and defending themselves- 15 custodial sentences. All this happened in broad daylight outside the stadium but somehow escaped the expert attentions of the local police force, who only arrived to mop up the ketchup and study cctv at their leisure. To show that they are a proper serious police force who really do their job well, they are punishing every single football fan attending the game by making it kick off at lunch time. There are two reasons for this. 1) They are conning the public by making it appear they are tough on crime (8 years too late!) and so justify their massive overtime claims 2) Xmas is coming, New Year is just round the corner with those massive utility bills and holiday downpayments- what better way to start the NY than with a bumper December paypacket? Don't be conned by these inept clowns.
I have to get up at 5am, drive for 240+ miles. To watch the game! It will be one of the few times I watch without having a drink first!
On a Friday the journey takes seven hours! Saturday morning I will leave at 6 and get to Hull with any luck just before 10am. But the temperature is low, it's minus 3 here now. So it may be hat I don't make it to the match. My wife and I stay at my Mam's house on Saturday night and drive back on Sunday.
Its a nice change for a 12.30pm ko and the return game @ Udders is the same on 30th March. At least we can go joint 2nd with a win for 2 hours. Will be nice to go home and sit and watch Jeff Stelling and the boys for a change with 3 points in the bag. Now and again i dont mind an early ko and we have another one the same just around the corner with TWS. The downside is that Newcastle v. Man City is live on TV at the same time so will have to rely on MOTD.
It's a dismal change. Flat atmosphere, reduced crowd and ****ed up day. What moron decides to start a game at lunchtime? Lunchtime is for eating lunch.
You don't drive any distance here on a Friday night, unless you absolutely have to, it takes forever. I never do meetings in London on a Friday or Monday, it's torture.
