... by Kick It Out Chairman,Lord Ouseley (?),has accused "football of operating in a moral vacuum". http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20675873 refers. Do you agree? Are there any morals left in the game, assuming that there ever were any? To what extent has the Premier League and all it's riches, hype, etc., contributed to any decline in morality? Do you even care whether your Club,it's players and management, behave morally and ethically,if such behaviour turns out to be detrimental to the fortunes of your team?
Hate to see a player dive or roll on the floor like he's been shot. Also hate seeing players waving the imaginary card at the refs to book a player. Even worse when managers do it. Thankfully our players/ managers don't seem to follow in that trend, with the exception of Chico who has acted in a less than savoury way once or twice when fouled. However it does seem to be a part of his game that is getting eradicated on the pitch. Probably why I dislike Barcalona so much. Unquestionable talent, but they do like to 'dive' and 'cheat' quite a lot
footballers have never had it so good and are well protected now....you never had this years ago where a player would go down and act like a baby from the slightest touch....some of the tackles were bone crushing and would get up and carry on playing. you could challenge the keeper and knock the ball out of his hands and score.....Football today is full of prima donnas and cry babies.....
Its about right, but what do you do? if team A does it and gets away with it team B will then start to do the same thing! I think the answer would be to get a member of the crowd to come onto the field(under the ref's control) and give the "injured" player a dead arm with about maybe 10-20 punches depending on how girly the dive was, if its was a total thin air non kontact dive then the punishment should be a wedgy you'd stop it overnight !
yes that would be good....the ref should carry a bunch of dummies with him and make the player keep it in his mouth for the rest of the game...sending players off spoils the game....
I'm happy with the Swans players behaviour on the whole. You don't see us crowding the ref like a lot of teams, and don't seem to get involved in any pointless nonsense. As previously mentioned Chico has looked a bit silly (i remember an over-reaction vs Carlton Cole which was a bit embarassing!!) but I think we can be proud of the boys and the way they conduct themselves.
