I know we won, and I'm happy with three points, but I'm disappointed in that game.

We played a Birmingham side, at home, they had ten men for most of the match, and we only won due to a penalty.

FOURTEEN shots on target, and one goal. That's woeful.

Meanwhile, the mackems have an injury crisis, don't even have any real strikers and manage to win 2-1 away to an in-form Bolton.

It's really infuriating sometimes. Birmingham could have very easily got another goal there and that shouldn't have been the case from the second half onwards.

Why :headbang: can't :headbang: we score :headbang: any :headbang: god damn :headbang: goals. Are Ameobi :headbang: and Lovenkrands :headbang: that CRAP :headbang: that we can have :headbang: 14 goals on target :headbang: and only get one against ten men!

This isn't just a fluke either. Our ability to score goals with our current strikeforce is beyond ridiculous. Everytime we play a game, the opponents defence just locks us out.

Anyway, on a positive note, Ranger suddenly looks pretty good. It's like him turning 20 has just changed him.

Not too worried, we knew it would be difficult to score goals since 1st February...

Goalscoring has let us down recently, we should never have let them get back into it. Ranger looked good again but failed to score yet again, Ameobi did a good job in the last few minutes but didn't seem to have a goalscoring threat while Lover was his normal self of making good runs but not having a good enough touch

I knew there would be some pessimistic articles.

    1) We won
    2) We all know we can't score (scored 2 by the way)
    3) We have reached this seasons target of security

Chill out man, try enjoying life a little instead of constant complaining.

Hold on, aren't we the highest scoring team outside of the top 4?

I'm not constantly complaining, so shut your face.

It's just frustrating. Winning a game should not mask the blatant flaws our team has. If we just pass them by because we barely won a game, the flaws will pop up again in one of our next matches and bite us right on the arse.

Like I said, we only won because of a penalty, and we had 14 shots on target with only one goal in normal play against a below-par team with 10 men. That's not something I'm really proud of to be honest.

Ameobi + Lovenrkands partnership is AT BEST Championship standard. Even Blackpool have better strikers than us! DJ Campbell for crying out loud.. and just look at West Ham. Ba, Piqimon, Keane, Sears and Cole <doh>. Hopefully one or even both will get sold by next summer <ok>.

I seen every player give 100% (unlike at Liverpool). Can't ask more than that.

    We won the game.

Yes there were mistakes, part and parcel of football (and Newcastle)

If it wasn't perfect enough for you go and watch Barcelona

Wish I hadn't subbed out Foster from my fantasy league team this week...I was banking on us putting a few past him, and I suppose we did...But 9 saves?! MOTM for sure (unfortunately).

We are 2nd only to man u on goals scored at home this season. We are entering holiday period, we know we are light up top, we just have to crack on until next season. Nothing we can do about our lack of attack until the summer. No use in winding yourself up about an inadequacy we can do nothing about at the moment.

Agree in a way, but I'm not too worried as I know we're getting new strikers in the summer and I was generally pretty pleased with how we performed.

We came into the season with only one striker we had any confidence in and he's ****ed off to the bin dippers. But saying that we have scored a decent number of goals and achieved our season aim of survivial. So i'm philosophical about it all. We need a couple of new strikers so that Ameobi and Lovenkrands can be our 4th/5th choice behind Best and the newbies and i'm sure this will happen in the summer.

So not gonna let it worry me, I'm just going to enjoy the feeling of knowing we are safe and playing in the prem next season.

You saw Ameobi give 100%? Are you for real?

I'm not even sure what I'm annoyed at to be honest. I don't even think it's the players themselves. It was a decent performance. The lack of goals are just really frustrating when you're watching the game. I guess it was just one of those days.
