RANGERS Manager Ally McCoist has paid tribute to the supporters once again as season tickets have now reached over 37,000 and are in excess of last yearâs SPL figures despite the Light Blues playing in Division 3. The Club currently has the highest average attendances in Scotland, the 4th highest in the UK and the 12th highest in Europe which is testament to the loyalty and commitment of the Rangers supporters. An amazing 49,913 fans attended the 140 year celebrations at the weekend making it another record breaking attendance for a fourth tier club and the highest that weekend â higher than the crowd that enjoyed Manchester City against Manchester Utd. McCoist said: âOn behalf of everyone at Rangers I would like to thank the fans yet again for their unwavering support. The backing we have had from the first match of the season has been unbelievable and the players and management team all appreciate it. âSaturdayâs attendance was incredible really for a Third Division match and the supporters deserve enormous credit for turning out in huge numbers week after week."
But I thought the numbers would decrease to around 15,000 by Christmas? that's what Timmy told us anyway. Maybe they meant at Parkheed
Timmy just can't help themselves A thread about Rangers on the Rangers board by a Rangers supporter Timmy. Must. Reply.
You're right to bring this up Perhaps one day the Attendance Trophy will hold as much relevance as The Balance Sheet Trophy did
Someone, somewhere, is whining about being less obsessive than the next person, all because they wrote less posts in 1 day (out of several thousand spent on here). Any idea who that sad **** could be?!
To be fair, I thought that after the seige mentality faded, I though attendances would drop... so fair ****s to the ones still going to waych 4th tier football
To be honest, you can hardly tell the difference between these Div3 players and the SPL "stars". Apart from the Stirling Albion No.4. The **** must've been at least 20 stone
