This could be a great idea if done correctly and fairly.

Hopefully this will improve the situation in the long run.

This suggests the FA now see the other side of the Suarez Evra case and maybe see that they treat Suarez unfairly.

As you have already mentioned, the FA probably now realise that cultural differences will occur. Shame that they had to ruin a player's reputation just so that they could be seen to fight racism.

And surely English players should be educated as well? Rio and Frimpong were both guilty of using racial/offensive language through Twitter.

The FA highlight everything that is wrong with this country. Rather than blame outside influences, try looking at ourselves and the majority. Educate EVERYONE - not just a minority.

Good point that you both made.

People also need to see that you cannot play the race card and make stuff up/ take advantage of situations.

Personally I think this country is a bit to scared of racism in general and organisations like the FA maybe dont always know how to deal with it. Get it wrong and they could damage their own reputation.

I think with Terry it was a bit different. It was a retaliation in an argument with Ferdinand.

Rio just jumped in on a controversial joke on Twitter and was inappropriate.

It is an admission without admitting it. The actual brain follows the knee jerk reaction.

    BUT

England is multicultural so therefor all players need this not just foreign players.. a bit xeno if you ask me.

What about English player respecting foreign cultures? There are many insults British players can use that are very offensive in a foreign player's country but not England or an English player with strong traditional and cultural ties to their native homeland.. its all complete bolllox..

Like all of the new airport security, appearances.

I think some thing needs to be done about Twitter. Not just in football but every where. People have gone to jail for tweeting the wrong thing.

It's the right thing to do. Just hope that it's not all one-sided, and that former England captains who assault female stewards and call witnesses in criminal trials who won't alter their evidence on racial lines a choc-ice are 'educated' on thier behaviour too.

I don't think it's an admission of 'getting it wrong' at all.

Everyone knows cultutal differences occur, including the FA, but it's simply not an excuse. By doing this education ( albeit I think the idea is bollocks as the English players are just as bad ) they are simply trying to remove the excuse.

probably on my own here, but i would go further and add the likes of MSN and similar to that, they don't seem to be monitored at all, seen some disgusting comments between rival fans on there, but because its not racist it seems to be acceptable, or freedom of speech seems to be the excused used and acceptable for that to go unpunished!!!!.

WHY is racism seen as more offensive than insulting the dead? both are as disgusting as each other but nothing is made of that.

The FA are directing this at foreign players when so many problems occur with English players and fans. Is it racist towards the foreign players?

A lot of good points being brought up.

I said a whole back that the Kick it out campaign should be Kick out abuse, not just Kick out racism.

@ Erik Whether Suarez was being honest of not . they do use blacky as a non racial term over there, and I did not know that up till this case, it is needed.

I love the HSBC ad with the guy in Brazil in the cafe, does the circle hand thing for A OK but the Owner guy in the cafe was gonna beat his ass <laugh>

  19. If you made a comment which was seen and then thread to the wider world, you would still be in trouble. The Mods remove such things to protect the website but once something as been posted it is out in internet world. Just look at the number of comments made on twitter which are removed, it only takes a second for that comment to be visual, someone will see it and retweet it, too late to remove it then.

Why do I need to show another ? Have I claimed there was more than one ? You think by me saying this is attacking Suarez - however far from it - I don't have an opinion really on the Suarez case as don't think the guy is really racist.

However I would expect you to have to mentality to see this or expect you to have the ability for a balanced debate <ok>
