Keep off the smack lad. You might find one who expects to finish 6th if you are lucky.

Bump. Time for review a couple of games on (also merge with the mackems duplicate)

Any wavering? Any feeling happier after a couple of good performances?

Was wondering when you would put your promised wum thread up (unlike mine which was genuine... something most of your board understood).

Nice of you to take such a keen interest though.... You're one of my favourites.....;)

At the end of the day though we're both ****e right now... Simples.

What price both managers leaving before the end of the season?

100% out and its going to happen by the end of this season!!! he was talking about champions league and his aims are top 8 from the board.

We were never good enough for top 4 hes made a cock of himself
    He cant change a game
he rates the ****test players we have
hes arrogant and keeps persisting with bad tactics and formations

The definition of insanity is to keep persisting with the same things and expect different results.

    HES ****ED

I actually prey we keep the mouse brain until the end of the season and somehow stay up and then if Rafa leaves Chelsea try for him or anyone with a bit of nouse when things are not going well on the pitch.

Nouse thats the issue he has none - we are in a relegation battle with a manager that CANT WIN THE TACTICAL BATTLE IN TIGHT GAMES EVER - THATS A SERIOUS ISSUE.

he's a fair weather manager and its going to get worse very fast and by Christmas and new year we'll see who is right.

He's got a team with an injury crisis and having to play the youngsters. Do you remember last year's run without a defeat? He stuck with the same starting XI for about 9 games. His tactics are terrible when he has to improvise, but honestly, who else would you see in to do a better job?

If Mike gives hime the funds he needs to bring some new players in, and we continue to do badly second half of the season, then we can start talking about getting rid. But until then we are being woefully shortsighted if we blame Pardew for something which has been largely out of his control.

erm we had one player out last night mate he said it himself.
    are you watching the games?
what the **** were his solutions during the game? Shola hoof it up there that what and it made us worse he does it every time
Jonas was so bad last night yet he kept him on
Marv worked with Anita yet he dropped him.
I agree we should have brought more in, however this team is better than he has it playing simple as that.

Imagine if we didn't have European football to distract us, had £25m to spend last summer, and had very few injuries all season.... Sound familiar? Where would you want us to be then? 18th perchance?

No not considering we sacked Hughton for being 11th and then we bought Cabaye, had Ben Arfa back.

All of the good things are down to the scouting network not him.

We are in a relegation battle with a manger that cant change games and for me thats a massive issue - his track record suggests we will not get better.

I watched that match last night, was fairly decent.

No idea why Pardew played Ben Arfa on the left to start the match, he was redundant out there. As soon as he switched wings Newcastle found their feet. Berba should have finished the game early on, I'd have stuck money on him hitting that with the outside of his boot but he looked like he thought about the chance too much and never really made his mind up. I thought a fair result would have been a draw, man of the match for me was either Sidwell or Santon, worst player on the pitch was Gutierez by a mile.

Santon to United in the summer, you can have Buttner on loan for a year.

Any chance of a merge with Mackem poll mods, seems daft having two polls for the same thing?

Santon was awful. Constantly out of position defensively, and he offered little to no attacking threat.

    Chaps,
    Gotta face facts.
Right now there's not much difference between SAFC and NUFC.
    The table doesn't lie.
January for both clubs will be key.

Think MR posted the other poll out of spite because ACS posted the same poll on their board after the Mackems lost, and MR in particular took offence <laugh>

I'm currently in a state of who the hell knows? We've played better in recent weeks on the whole, but some of the tactics have still been baffling, some of the individual performances have been below par, and the substitutions have been abysmal.

The positives form around our set-pieces getting better, and us creating more for our strikers, simply by putting in some decent balls for a change. We defended very poorly against Fulham, but attacking wise it was a good away performance. We've had chances and been unlucky not to score more. But this was a side who were having trouble scoring and they themselves were looking to the foot of the table.

I still think lack of any realistic and decent candidates have tied us to Pardew for the rest of the year, whatever the outcome. At best this year is a complete write-off for the fans, and all we can do is savour any decent performances we watch, and at worst, well I don't need to mention it.

I couldn't have Santon down as class or awful. Middle of the road for me. I wish we had some attackers who were willing to commit to getting on the end of crosses though. Santon and Simpson put some cracking balls in last night. As good as Hangeland is at dealing with them I think a more committed striker would have bagged at least one. I thought Tiote played quite well too Kat, him and Anita seem to be developing a nice little partnership. Once Cabaye is fit that will be a terrific 3 in there.

Willo actually had a decent game for him and although Colo was good in the main, he was ****e for both goals.

Last night really seems to have split the fans on who played well and who didn't, and how well we played as a team. Opposites ends of the scale.
