Saints fan in peace. Looking at your fixtures I think you are in real danger at being adrift in the bottom 3 by xmas. A 6 pointer tonight followed by away games at Unied and us. Then home games against City and Spurs. Not many easy points there?I think tonight has to be a must win!
No we're not worried, we're just farting about at the moment. All Sunderland fans are used to this carry on. At the end of the season I reckon we'll be around the 12th. place.
i am ****ting bricks, not sure how most on here can keep calm and be so certain he can turn it around, I hope he does turn it around but you can never be certain about anything in football.
I'm worried sick, we are struggling big time and with our fixtures up to new year, we could well be cut adrift by then.
All we need to do is play for 90 minutes - we have seen a lot of promise in the last few games - deserved something (but got nothing) from each of them - if we can play like that tonight we'll be OK - that's the "IF" though!! I'm worried - definitely but, as has been said, used to it by now! IF we play like we have for majority of the last 5 or 6 games, I think we'll win tonight and at yours next week - but that's another big IF!!
I suppose the question is will your Chairman have an itchy trigger finger if you don't get anything tonight?
If we play like we did against Saints on Saturday none of you will have anything to worry about. The 1-0 scoreline didn't tell the whole story, Southampton played us off the park and a 3 or 4 goal margin would have been justifiable reward for the way they dominated. But, if we play like we did against Utd, then we'll give you a game.
I think whoever scores first wins. If we don't beat them tonight I think we are doomed to be honest. Cant see us getting anything from the four fixtures after and by that time the gap could be double figures :-/ anyway i think we are gonna turn it on and every bounce will go our way and we'll get all our luck that we've been missing, deflected goals, in of the woodwork, penalty the lot. 4-0 Haway the lads
Look at the rest of the threads on the board. People may say they're not worried but most are. Rightly so, as it stands we're getting relegated.
If the season finished tonight then it would still be in our hands to beat Reading at home and stay up. However, with 69 points still to play for this season, it is anything but decided in December mate.
