Much agreed to what has already been said - we did not play well from the off, a lot of sloppy passes, Deeney having to come too deep for the most part, not much in the way of the chance making department, midfield pressed back onto the back line, generally - and fair credit to Hull, well organised, quick to the ball and generally at least half a yard ahead in thinking and a yard ahead in doing - we were second best throughout the game and Hull deserved their win. One or two issues with the refereeing but more on application of the laws rather than general decision making. Nothing too controversial but his idea of what constitutes 10 yards (if the freekick is level with the D then the nearest opponent has to be level with the penalty mark not two yards in front of it) when we had a freekick was laughable. Got what we deserved on the day... nothing. The trick is to come back from it positively, starting at Sean Dyches Burnley on Saturday.
Thanks Harrow - Just not convinced about Almunia. Better than Loach I think but Kuszczak was better. We also dont really have a decent back up so if we get another keeper - even if he is on the bench - perhaps Almunia will rise to the challenge.
Harry the Hornet was really funny when he was banging the drum but only got us City fans chanting was comedy gold....especially when he turned to us to Shhhhhhhhhhhhh us!
I think Vydra might be one who does suffer from the rotation system. We needed Abdi to start and FF fit really. Hull are a much better side than some of the teams we've played in recent weeks.
I hope we don't decide our 'best starting eleven' on the evidence of one game, but how we perform over a number of games... and this team has performed well. We had an off day. Lets not look too deeply. have to say that Hull were the best team I have seen us play this year, home or away.
he is hysterical most of the time..really gets us laughing, and during a really dull match like yesterday's, he's priceless! Best representative of Watford by far yesterday!
A very honest appraisal - not something that opposition fans often do. Your fans are a credit to your club - best of luck for the rest of the season!
I've always said Watford fans aren't the same as the other knobstraps on these boards. Honest praise and genuine fans. Watford looked a decent side too, I can see your lot up in the mix for Play Off's come the end of the Season too.
Thanks to all the Hull fans. You were great too. Its nice to have some intelligent banter and conversations.
