Who Do You Think You Are?

Has anyone watched it before? It was Rupert Everett at the weekend. Turns out his great grandfather was a con man thief who was a stockbroker. Expelled from the institution for taking money from people and not investing it.

At the beginning, he boasted of his upper middle classness too.



Have any of you lot ever done any research on your family tree? One of my siblings did a bit and there was really nothing interesting to report.

Apparently Bruce Forsythe was on it a few weeks ago. They went back 300 years and Bruce was still alive!

my auntie did, in about i had a relative deported to america for stealing sheep

My sister only did research to find out where our family name came from. Like Staggie, I think I'd be a bit frightened to delve too deeply lol

 

Anyone watch the David Tennent one a few months back, and he is acually called David MacDonald, but it sounded too irish so he had to change it to tennent, and he traced his family back a couple of generations, and his great grandad was in the orange order and another one of his grandads played for derry city.

 

i was a bit disappointed really, i was hoping for at leas 1 murderer, instead we got a sheep ****er

 

I've always been told that I'm a direct descendant to the Campbells that killed all the MacDonalds Never looked into it though

 

I always think the term "sheep shagger or molester sounds better
