Both excellent at the weekend Think Rose might be the answer to our midfield problems with Cattermole's injury - has so much desire and simply loves playing the game. Hope we can sign him in January - Stick Colback at left back tomorrow night and Rose in Centre Mid AJ & McClean both had their best games for us at the weekend so more of that please! Wickham - this lad has learned a hell of a lot - apparently O'Neill has been working a lot with him in training on his touch and he has made himself a good footballer - would play him at the moment as the teams lack of confidence isn;t with him - he looked a confident player at the weekend (and was getting pulled all over by Cahill EVERY TIME the ball went in the box - he was worried about him)
Wickham must have been working very hard because the improvement in his game is massive! Last year he would shy away from the physical battles and be tentative when jumping for flick ons, now defenders are scared of him. Plus the first touch has come on leaps and bounds. I know it's controversial but I think we look a better team with him leading the line then Fletch. As for Rose I can't praise the lad enough, Mon is in this mornings papers saying he wants to make it permanent in Jan.
If only Danny Rose could clone himself so we could have 10 of him on the pitch. (Dont think he could cut it in goal)
Seen so many loan players come to us over the years and done well but we've never been successful in securing them long term. Really really hope that this isn't the case with Danny Rose.
Aye if only he could clone a taller version eh!! - Although - other than 1 mistake, Mig has been preety awesome this season Quillips - nothing controversial for me - I agree completely - Fletcher is undoubtedly a good striker but he doesn't hold the ball up as well as Wickham and doesn;t bring the midfield into the game as well - play them both for me with Sess and Rose in centre midfield!!
I agree, Wickham is much stronger and taller, he is better to play when it's just 1 striker, but Fletcher is the better footballer so I'd play both in an ideal world, hopefully MON does on the weekend
All of the above. Wanted to see the lad have a good run-out for a long while. If he can form a partnership with Fletch it could be the best since Super Kev and Big Niall appeared on A Question Of Sport
