Good Morning Folks,

Just when things were going so well, a 3-1 loss away loss to Derby shows how frail we actually are. I for one believe the scoreline flattered the home side, who also got away with some crunching tackles with little more than a telling off, with Hendrik lucky to stay on the pitch. A number of Leeds players had a poor game, especially McCormack, Tonge, and the dreadful Peltier who was turned inside out by the Derby Forwards..

Warnock was recently quoted in the paper as saying that apart from keeping the loanees, Leeds would be looking to secure a decent forward, and had three players under surveylance. Is that enough, I think we need a couple more, especially in my opinion another left back as Drury is not playing much, and White is out of favour.

Lets see how our loanees are getting on....

    Zac Thompson - Bury
It was a bad day for Bury who were beaten by inform Leyton Orient at home 2-0.

It was the ninth start for Thompson since his move to Gigg Lane in October.

Bury also gave a debut to former Leeds midfielder Seb Carole who came on as a late substitute.

The defeat for Bury leaves them third from bottom of league One

    Robbie Rogers - Stevenage
Rogers was again amongst the substitutes and he came on for the final eight minutes of their 2-0 win at Hartlepool.

He has now made nine appearances for Stevenage since joining them in August with only three of them being starts.

    Paul Rachubka - Accrington Stanley
The goalkeeper played the 90 minutes for Accrington as they lost 1-0 to an early goal at Burton. Rachubka is at Accrington on a week-by-week loan having signed for the club last weekend.

He has now played in both their games since joining and he is expected to retain his place when they travel to Oxford United in the FA Cup in midweek.

    Ross Killock - Alfreton Town
Killock was on the bench for Alfreton having only recently returned from losing a tooth and having three others knocked loose.

Killock came on with nineteen minutes remaining with Alfreton already 3-0 down at Luton Town. The Hatters scored three times in five minutes in the second half. The game finished 3-0.

The young Leeds defender has now made 11 appearances since joining them in October. Saturday was the first time in his eleven appearances that he has come off the bench.

    Alex Cairns - Stalybridge Celtic
The goalkeeper let in one goal as Celtic lost 1-0 at Solihull. Cairns as now made 20 appearances since joining Celtic in August.

    Lewis Turner -Harrogate Town
Lewis Turner is still waiting to make his debut for Harrogate Town after signing for them on loan in November. Saturday was the first time that he has made the bench and he was an unused substitute in their 2-1 win at Colwyn Bay.

He will hope to get some game time when Harrogate travel to Hastings in midweek for their FA Cup Second Round replay, with a trip to Middlesbrough in the Third Round awaiting the winners.

Lewis is on loan at Harrogate until January 2nd

    Nathan Turner -Chester FC
Twin Nathan also went out on loan on the same day as Lewis and he finally made his debut for Chester in their top of the table clash at Brackley.

Turner came on with fourteen minutes remaining and with Chester cruising to victory at 3-0.

Brackley scored twice in the last three minutes and hit a post in injury time as they nearly snatched a dramatic point.

The win for Chester moves them six points clear at the top of the Blue Square North Division.

The twins could line up against each other when Chester and Harrogate meet on Wednesday December 19th.

Nathan is on loan at Chester until January 2nd.

Ugland House is an office block in Grand Cayman, the largest of the Cayman Islands. Situated in George Town, it looks much like the next building – five stories high with white walls and red and green trim.

Three years ago, Ugland House came to the attention of US president Barack Obama when it transpired that this single property – the head office of law firm Maples and Calder – was the registered address for almost 19,000 different companies, 12,000 of them from America. Obama saw a slight anomaly. “That’s either the biggest building in the world or the biggest tax scam in the world,” he said, at a time when he was attempting to turn the screw on well-known tax havens. The relevance of all this to Leeds United?

Bizarre as it sounds, the club – or more accurately their new owners – have joined the Ugland House throng. Documents submitted to Companies House on November 20 show that LUFC Holding Limited, the vehicle which GFH Capital is using to buy Leeds, is registered at a well-known address in George Town: PO Box 309, Ugland House, Grand Cayman. Off-shore ownership is nothing new at Elland Road and nor is it illegal.

The Forward Sports Fund which first acquired shares in Leeds in 2005 was incorporated in the Cayman Islands, and Outro Limited, the firm used by Ken Bates to purchase United last year, is based in Nevis. A recent ownership statement published by Leeds stated clearly that LUFC Holding Limited had been established in Grand Cayman.

Morning Elland. With all this information, ever thought of being a journo? Pay's not great, but you get some good trips at someone else's expense?

Saturday wasn't good. But we have a recent history of struggling at Pride Park. Nevermind, we move on. Think we missed Taylor somewhat. Also with Drury & White both available, not sure why Warnock insists on playing Peltier at LB. An LB he certainly isn't. Think I'd have preferred him to be RB with Byram at RM. We could then have White at LB with Hall on the left wing & perm any two from 5 in cemtral midfield. Hopefully with a quite week ahead McCormack will get his touch back. Maybe with a development game this week, Warnock will give Ross half an hour to sharpen up his fitness.

    Hey Boggers,

Most journalists are scum, will print what they like in order to line their own pockets, whoever they hurt....

We certainly missed Thomas, we need to make sure we sign him in January. I think Byram is considered better than Peltier. If Byram was pushed to midfield, who would make way?

Peltier has to play, as he was Warnocks big summer transfer, and with Lees, Pearce and Tate all vying for starting roles at centre back, Warnock would be stupid to play Peltier there, even though I believe that's his best position.

Ross was not good on Saturday, looked a little overweight too.

How good was Diouff when he came on. At the start of the second half I would have put Diouff and Brown on, and taken off Tonge and McCormack

    Morning...

Agree, but frustrating how we can beat Leicester and Palace, then lose to a lesser team

Good point XPod. We'd certainly have taken that 4 weeks ago. Ipswich on Saturday. Should be a good game & hopefully back to winning ways. Still only 4pts off top 6. We said some weeks ago that as long as we were there or thereabouts come the JTW, we'd be in with a shout.

Morning Elland and all. Think you're right and we probably need more than just a forward. However, Warnock has had meetings with GFH and will clearly know by now what his January budget is. That may well be dictating he can only shop for a forward. Cant see them throwing a pile of money at lets face it is about a 25% chance of making the playoffs this season. Even making them, as we know, is a long way still from promotion. I would rather see big investment in the summer and hit the ground running at start of next season. Word of caution, 11 days until takeover is final, hoping we dont see another 30 day window announced at that stage waiting for some other sort of clearance. I'm sure, all will be well

    Morning All,

My only hope is that Varney was being given his last chance before shipping him out in January. Fingers crossed ....

Morning all - Derby are a good team at home, however all too often we are plagued with players who are unable to put in a performance week in and week out. I know everyone has a bad day or two but look at last season, Clayton maybe 1 good game in 4. Becchio this season maybe one good game in three, yes he knows where the net is but his all round play is poor.

No idea why on earth Warnock spends the majority of his budget on Peltier and then plays him at left back, remember his words that in Drury we have signed the best left back in the division. Varney, does anyone rate him, week after week I see negative reports from those watching him play, it sounds like we have added more deadwood to the squad.

I know it is still early days but I am starting to worry what/who Warnock might waste a budget on come January. If Warnock still intends to leave come next season and if we are still in the same league position as we are now maybe it will be time to wave goodbye to him and give a new man a budget and a few months to mould a team together for next season.

Spot on in parts there Ristac. Derby have a good record at home, whilst not being quite so clever on the road. Varney clearly won't make it long term at Leeds unless something quite remarkable happens. Gray seems to be a squad player at best. If we retain Tait, which I think we should, Kisnorbo will be on his way. A pity in my view, but we are where we are. In midfield, I'd have Peltier at RB allowing Byram to play RM. I'd then have, when everyone's available, Norris, Austin or Brown, & Hall or Thomas. I still want Becchio & McCormack up front with someone coming in to push them. When he finally returns, I'd like to see Somma go out on loan to get his fitness up & to see whether or not he can still cut it after such a long lay off.

Regardless of what some might think, I actually believe that we can make top 6 with an outside shot at auto. Why? Because we showed against, Leicester, 'Udders & Palace what we can do when we extract a digit or two.

Glad the club have wisely used offshore avenues to minimize money lost as tax, or as I like to call it, theft. <ok>

Each penny they save from being based in the Caribbean is a penny less paid by fans for a ticket, or a shirt for their kid, or a pint at half time - or indeed a penny more to go towards getting a 'marquee signing', or improving a young prospect's contract, or buying back the stadium and training ground.

I'm hardly losing any sleep that the Inland Revenue can't use it to finance the ****-stain known as the UK's bloated public sector.

You'd only get semi-final heartache at the expense of the Millwall Express again - I'm sure the Wembley hotels would be grateful though <cheers>

Last 3 games, Tonge played centre mid and bossed it. Didn't he play in right mid this week, where we know he has been less effective? As people have said previously, play people to their strengths.

Regarding tax, some have previously said that newco LUFC was set up in some funny way whereby they do not have to pay tax unti lsome £40m of profits has been recorded. May have the numbers wrong there - seems very high - but does anyone know the ins and outs of this?

Regarding not having to pay tax in UK, I'm not sure that applies based on being registered in the far-off shores. LUFC is still registered through Companies House, but I'm no expert.

9 points out of 12 is excellent. Shame we could not keep the run going, but Derby are good at home, and we have more chances coming up. Ipswich have picked up form of late, but let's get Thomas back and play the team that won those 3 matches on the bounce and boss the games.
