Tony prefers to use other people's money. His whole business is based on that, don't forget he's a chartered accountant at the end of the day.
Surely Mark Hughes had far too much pride in himself? He was totally detached from reality and right **** with it.
I certainly hope so. Anything is possible, only one way to go but up now. Just checking our situation last season, and Dec 10, 2011 after losing 1-0 to Liverpool away we had 16 pts from 15 games. Jan 15, 2012 after losing 1-0 to Newcastle away, it was 17 pts from 21 games. We are currently 7 pts from 16 games, so if we picked up 3 wins from the next 5 games before the FA cup, plus a draw, we could have 17 pts from 21 games, so on par with last season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/queens-park-rangers/results
To be honest, I never thought that Hughes had much faith in his own abilities, hence the entourage. Is that not just an inflated sense of ego accompanied by an underlying fear. Maybe you're right, he had Tony's number for sure.
You're havin' a laugh int ya? You're having a fu*king laugh. Ain't you got anything better to do on a Sunday than wind people up?
Haven't you? I only reviewed the stats to demonstrate that with a massive team effort, TF's statement is still feasible. Last season in the 5 week period from Dec 10, 2011 - Jan 15, 2012 we picked up just one point from 7 games. Only time will tell - hopefully another "Great Escape" for us, especially if we can do enough prior to the January transfer window to convince TF to free up more funds for Harry to strengthen our squad.
Show me a successful business that isn't financed to some degree on borrowing. Air Asia's debt is a bit lower than the airline industry average. The fact that he understands this stuff should be reassuring to you. Without TF and the backing he gave Warnock then Hughes in getting players in last season we would already be back in the championship.
Indeed. It would be more like: "You're 'avin' a Giraffe int ya? You're 'avin' a f*cking Giraffe. "Ain't you got nufink better to do on a Sunday than wind people up?"
Just looked at Wikipedia and it has this: "Harry Redknapp (former manager for Queens Park Rangers born in Bow, London) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cockney Harry's gone already?
I find myself agreeing with much of what you say except for the hyperbolae. We are indeed playing much better at the moment and I still believe that once we get a win under our belt we will turn the corner. However we are cutting it fine to say the least if we are to give ourselves a chance. It would be terrific if we could win our last 6-8 at home in a row like we did last season and couple that witn a win or two away. Almost there. But until we have a goal scorer and stop giving goals away it won't happen. One thing that HR has kept to himself at the moment but is actually obvious if you think about the matter is that there will be departures in January - if only to create space in the 25, to substantially reduce the wage bill and thereby create available cash whether to pay loan wages or transfer fees. I know the names of those who for my money should be despatched with far greater certainty than I do the names on the wish list.
I completely agree with your player ratings as would mark them the same as you as opposed to the other ratings mentioned which I think were wide of the mark and the Bosingwa comment at the end.
