If we can't keep Bullard could Danns run the show?

Koren - most talented midfielder we have but not a leader
Evans - solid but also not a playmaker
Cairney - never does enough for me
Harper - we know the scope of his abilities
    Akpan - not good enough
Chester - is a CB nothing else, good at that role
Belaid - not even sure he'll be here next term

    So we need a leader..

    Is Danns the man?
Or do we keep financing Jimmy?
Or is ther someone else you fancy (realistically)?

I'd say Danns has to be an option. Bullard's position at the club for me has become untenable, and it's best for both parties that he moves on in the summer, for his own benefit as much as our own. I'm sure Pearson and co will have done their homework and will have plenty of irons in the fire for the positions we need to improve on. I would like us to have a midfield general next season to captain the side, as much as i like Daws he's not captain material, and any potential midfield signings need to be with a view of potential captaincy.

You've gotta hope we keep the best player in the league. We're lacking something special in midfield, is Danns the answer? Probably not in all honesty, him and Bullard might be able to do a job together in the centre, but a combination of Danns and Harper/Evans is hardly gonna get you promoted IMO.

Bullard's going, the club don't want him and he doesn't want to be here, it's now merely a question of where he ends up.

That was the case this time last year though. I'm keeping faith.

Is Greening still an option? Not heard any rumours about him in a while.

A friend of mine who follows West Brom reckons Woy is in for Bullard, not that they're head over heals over this given his injury record. Him going is the best for Bullard and for the club. Aren't the Dramas supposedly interested? can see Jimmy fancy a move back to London if i'm honest.

id like danns and another, evans is versatile but we need another starting caliber centre midfield, evans could be a backup/first team depending on the opposition, harper definitely isnt good enough.

Sorry but I cannot see Woy re-signing Bullard when he sold him to us from Fulham beforehand.. won't happen.

I think he's getting a good amount of playing time at the moment so I doubt we'll be able to get him now.

Actually, it wasn't. Last year he didn't want to leave, now it's quite obvious he does.

In addition, he had been out injured for most of last season, at least he made enough games for Ipswich to win player of the season, which should generate more interest.

He's only made 8 appearances in the league this season and most of them were from the bench.

My uncle's dog walker who occasionally walks past the ground says Bullard actually wants to stay, and his comments on leaving are just "Jimmy being Jimmy". So based on my solid evidence, he's staying.

His best chances of staying are if he holds some sway with the council about the sale of the KC. Otherwise you'll almost certainly be able to see the boot print in his arse.
