I knew as soon as I saw you, Mr Col, that you were a Murdoch man. God help the boy.

If you ever make it to Dublin, I'll finish that sentence I started some weeks ago.

True.....there was a slight degree of "blagging".......but the money they get from each customer is 100% profit every month.....the money they make from advertisment is obscene and with the rediculous amount you have to pay just to watch TV and have the internet, most will do their very best to get it for as cheap as possible.

Funnily enough I got a letter from Virgin this week saying they are putting up their package costs by a fiver a month, I have the full package, phone, broadband, tv and several mobiles. I think it might be time to 'churn'...

Only on this country can a man proudly declare what brain washing system he has installed. However useful to know that deals can still be done

Be better if you just didn't talk!
I started the thread, so assumed it was aimed at me. All I was trying to do was point out to anyone who was interested that there are some good deals on Sky out there.
Again.........in what way am I, or anyone else who subscribes to Sky being brain washed?

Too much choice Col and no way to sustain the vast channels of information therefore any actual content is looped and replayed to keep the audience hooked and tuned ... Why so you have to watch a diet of advertising and it works ... People still buy more stuff after being influenced by what they see on TV it's factual

People pretend not to watch adverts but alas they are unaware of what happens to the data storage unit we call our brains .

Live sport far enough can't be controlled but before you know it you life is controlled . I bet the box goes on on most households first thing and sadly for some it's rarely never switched off.

It can shape your mind make you not do things that would be better for you
They want you watching all the time

    Television is brain washing IMO

Oh dear. I just watch TV for information or entertainment. People have always been influenced by advertising. Nothing new in that. So you'd ban TV then?
