    I'd take the carling cup. If only to break the hoodoo that we can't win anything. Small steps and all that!

    Also would shut up some of the critics.

    We'll always get the deluded Geordies crap ... well until we actually do win everything of course because then we wouldn't be deluded we'd be talking about facts <laugh>

    But at least we would have won something so the statement "you've won nothing since '69" would no longer be true. Its not the best trophy to win, but even our detractors add it to the total of their achievements when they like to brag at how much more than us they have won, so they can't say it doesn't count.
