Sorry but its time for MON to go, yeh he is the man we all wanted but he has not performed this season. I love the guy i do, but I love Sunderland more. We are only in December and already have a 'must win' game this Tuesday. I just cant see how we will change it around His subs yesterday were confusing, Colback on to go LB and Danny Rose Centre Mid, WTF??????? Thanks for keeping us up last year MON, but its time you hand over. Im not fickle im not daft, some people are meant to be at particular clubs, Quinn and Phillips, Sir Alex, Arsene. Yesterday at half time we were talking about life in the championship, who could we keep, at least we may know what it feels like to win at home etc etc. It shouldnt be like that.
I though Rose looked good in midfield, I'd start him there on Tuesday alongside Sess, with fletch and Wickham up front.
Rose is class. Play Danny Left wing, Johnson right and Colback left back. Rose is awsome going forward, i suppose another tactically inept decision playing mcclean who does not perform at all, and gets booooed constantly by his own fans whenever he touches the ball
If Mon does get the full season and we do stay up I can see us going on to better things. The man does need time but he's not making it easy for Ellis and the fans to keep with him. The next 4/5 games will determine for me if he stays or not and in all honesty I think he will be gone. It may well be after Tuesday if we get beat but after that we have some difficult games where I see us getting 3/4 points. So 20 points by Xmas is a must. No good getting a new man in February. It has to be before January or not at all.
It does need to be b Jan so if a new manager wants a couple of players in then he has the chance to do that. The run of games we have coming up scares me
Here is one way of looking at it. The guy deserves at least this season. He needs the January transfer window for him to be properly judged. If, and it is a big if, he got you relegated, he would more than likely get you straight back up. Some times progress can be painful. If somebody told me we would play European football within 3 years on May 2009 I would have laughed at you and checked you into an asylum! Things may turn around for you this year, they may not. To sack arguably the best manager you have ever had right here and now would be daft. Ellis Short is a rich man for a reason and it is not for acting with his heart.
At last someone who understands the game. I've been wanting this since the mags game. Trouble is MON doesn't like to change anything either before or during games. He really is a no action man so I won't hold my breath.
I would have been dissapointed if he played Colback in midfield tbh, i prefered he put him in LB and moved Rose into mf. I thought we looked alot better for it.
