Once I watch it I will have a better idea. But he has 5 league goals. That isnt a qty that is anyway acceptable for the number of starts he has had. The simpson argument is starting to sound very much like a mclean argument. Doesnt score but does so much of everything else.
Steven Quinn is the lad you're on about. Thanks for the comments, I think today was a big result for us beating an in form side and it cements our place in the top 6. Good luck for the rest of the season
Sorry I don't buy that. He's part of the reason we look so much better this season. His interplay with Aluko has been excellent and for someone left out in the cold by the last two managers, he has been one of the successes of the season and should keep his place after a controlled win like that against a form team.
Simpson is a quality all-round footballer & he's integral to our team. I'd always pick him ahead of Mclean. Sorry but posting funny tweets & getting laughs in the dressing room doesn't win you games.
Not necessarily calling for him to start really, more like to make a contribution to the rest of the season.
Good work Hull, we were on a roll and you did a number on us on our turf. No one has answered me, on a different note, if Bruce (respect as good a manager as his is) has the worst broken nose (a defender's medal) of all time? Good luck for the season !!
Just like he had never been away. First tackle was a belter. Sad for Macadonna but h took one hell of a whack. SB not sure was the injury is yet. In todays . modern game it should have been a free kick to Hull City. Deeney went in ith his studs showing but Watford did deserve to score. They did and never looked like not winning. Great team performance against a very good Watdord team. They should stay in the top 6 playing like that. We were very very good today. Make no mistake about that. That will do for me for noe. Just moving up nicely and top 2 by the turn of the year. imo Watford deserved a goal. But we should have had 3 or 4 actually. So what ? Its the overall picture that counts. But yes an Austin or Murray type would be the icing on the cake. Over to Steve Bruce for that one. Nick P. will come good just give him time. He shows better each time he plays imo. Yes we did very well today. But its easy to see why Watford also have been doing well. Good luck and from what i saw you shall stay in the top 6.
I hope you dont go through every week and comment on all my in game comments. After all its just game thread chatter. It will always be more negative then people who get to watch it live as I have to interpret our play through Burnsy's constant negativity about how we are going to give up a goal.
True but unless you are at the game you really cannot base your opinion on what Burnsy says. Most on here have got it about right though so far.
Proschwitz played well when he came on. We were trying to run down time and he was the outlet from defence. Several accurate flicks on to teammates. Then there was that hold up in the corner followed by the slalom around the two Watfordians and the run into the area. Only stopped by a defender falling on it and handling the ball.
Sound from all the comments we were the better side, great win against an in form team, and Zola comments on the FLS were very flattering. Onwards and upwards. I wasn't there but it looked to me from the TV as if Stockdale should have got to the ball first for their goal.
Simpsons your support type striker who will likely finish the season on 10-15 goals. Aluko would be the main striker and providing he's not out for too long, can see him finishing on 15-20 goals. This is perfectly ok for a strike partnership. What I do like about Simmo and Aluko is that they seem to have a very good understanding on each others game. They are both intelligent footballers. We do need a different type of striker, just in my opinion to be able to mix up how we play a bit. We do seem as a team to be sharing the responsibility of scoring goals at present and we're still getting positive results.
A big pat on the back for both the Manager and supporters of Watford for their generous comments and good wishes following what must have been a disappointing loss at home to the Tigers. Good luck for the remainder of the season to you Hornets.
I guess it is a bit ironic that after all the debate about Watfords loan players from Italy and Spain, that out 2 scorers were loan players.
I was just going to mention the same thing. Anyway thought you looked very very good in the first half, however we were also rather poor in the first period. We got better and i think began to dominate the second half with the return of our best player Abdi, who consequently after coming on created our goal, just a shame he didnt get a full game. Not only he was missing but Forestieri, who i'm sure you have heard about was also missing, two of our best players and with neither in the side it really effected us. I do believe that if at least one of them was playing for the whole game we would have been much better- if Abdi was playing we would of kept the ball better and created more chances - and if Forestieri was playing we would of had a much quicker outlet from defence to attack, pace in midfield i thinkk was something we lacked. Almunia was poor also, from where i was sitting it seemed as though he should have saved your free kick? Also what about our goal that was not? Did Stockdale carry the ball over the line? I haven't seen the replay. So well played today, you looked every bit the play off team, but just wish we had a full strength side, with Abdi and Forestieri playing the majority of the game, because if we did i think we would of taken 3 points. P.S Who was your black player up front he looked very good
