Seems like sexual gestures must be allowed then. Not to worry I'm sure I'll have racist remarks made against me when I go to Norwich and I will make sure I report it to the police

Ok no problem. Next time either I or my 14 year old son get any racist comments directed at us for being Welsh on my travels to England I will make a complaint to the police.

It works both ways and if they want to kick racism out of football then it needs to be all forms of racism and not just the ones that suit the authorities.

Last season on my travels I had to endure racist comments at Blackburn, Wolves, QPR, Aston Villa, Tottenham, Everton, West Brom, Wigan, Bolton and Sunderland.

This season you can add Southampton to the list. At the clubs not mentioned I did not encounter any problems at all.

Sad if you were verbally abused, although, strictly speaking, that's not racism.

    Still not acceptable though.

The Swansea fan should be banned for his racist behaviour. Absolutely no time for it. Bassong should be hauled up
before the FA to answer a charge of incitement. To do his dance in front of the home fans was stupid, thoughtless and PROVOCATIVE. Fans should behave but damn well so should the players.

    Incitement? <doh>

Players have celebrated goals since time immemorial - that's not allowed now? What the
hell has happened to the world.

Want to applaud the authorities at Swansea today. This idiot was identified, isolated and arrested within 10 minutes of the incident. Every team has mindless idiots, ourselves included, and you are better off without this fan. Beats a long, drawn out, public drama like QPR/Chelsea. We are BOTH better than that.

I have to say it's come to something when a Welshman cannot perform a tribal dance, pretend to eat a banana, make monkey actions or otherwise vitriolically abuse a black gentleman in his hometown. It really is political health and safety correctness gone mad.

Come on now folks, surely Welsh chants arent a big deal. The way I figure it a few sheep shagger chants here, a few incest chants there. No-one is free of critisism. Play on regional stereotypes! It's all banter!

There is a great deal of respect between our two clubs and I'd hate for that to be ruined. I very much want you to progress with us as the new skool of premier league team!

Out with the old, in with the new!

So have I, and I still don't talk like a complete prick - also my comments on the board of a team we had just played were relevant

Unless you're Welsh, why do you get to assume what is and isn't acceptable? I think you'd have something to say if I said black players should be able to shrug off racial abuse...

When I go to London I call them Cockney assholes. When I go up North I call them Northern assholes. It means NOTHING, it's just football banter. Monkey chants are not football banter and I applaud your clubs strong response to this. Proper response from a proper football team!

Total bollocks, have no idea why you are poking your nose in.

Agree with Beefy, we have lots of respect for the Swans, like us, doing things the right way.

Simply this. Celebrate away by all means, it's all part of the game and long may it remain so. But do it in front of your OWN fans. Not difficult is it?

Don't agree, do it where and when it happens. Of course the opposition don't like it, that's the game though, isn't it?

It's not the first time a player has celebrated in front of home fans! Incitement is no excuse for racism, nor should it have any impact on a person's opinion on the matter. It's not like he was deliberately trying to wind the fans up. If he was then he would be interacting with them. Also, it was a small dance anyway!
