Adel imo, slows the game down when he gets the ball. Instead of playing a first time pass he treats us all to 5 or 10 seconds of stepovers before he releases it.

Thanks for the tit-bits. Yes, its a real shame Cisse doesn't have the heart to match his skill. He should realise how lucky he is.

It sounded to me like Tarbs wasn't at it. Maybe Harry still doesn't really like the lad since his Tottenham days?

Personally I thought that Adel was fundamental to our good play in the first half. His movement creates space for others and by coming off the line he made the 'third player' on several occasions which allowed us to get into good positions. Ruislip's right in a sense, he does at times slow the game down. But without him today we would have been totally one dimensional. SWP is completely s**t.

    Exactly mate.

I thought that was gone out of his play but he's back to doing it again. I don't know if the boy will ever learn.

I thought he should of reacted quicker to the ball for their 1st goal. The lad must of been having a snooze.

at the end of the day,we just arnt good enough. We have a few half decent players, but they dont play for each other or as a team.As hard as they work, the Hill's,Derrys,Mackies, swp's,Traore's,etc, etc just do not have enough ball skill to turn things around. Sorry, but we just dont look good enough and you cant suddenly make an average player into a classy player. This is the second year in a relegation dogfight,so thats saying something. I would love us to get out of this mess, but the numbers just dont add up. I still cant believe we are going thorugh all this again. Im geting flashbacks to 95/96. I havnt been able to watch MOTD for weeks!

I dont think any other team in the premiership would of started with Derry yesterday, but they would of started with Faurlin
The last game Faurlin started for us at Old Trafford he looked the best midfielder on the pitch until he was subbed

Its the Diakite on the wing thing that I didn't really understand. I know Hoilett hasn't been great since he arrived (none of them have) but wouldn't he be better on the flank than a big bruiser like Diakite?

I've seen Faurlin up close several times, he's a damn good player. He is Premier League class, he needs to be in that side.

Derry's past it at this level but Harry may be playing him because the others have lost the will to live let alone play after 10 months of MH **** ups.

Still cannot believe how much he damaged our club and how long we will have to suffer the consequences.

I don't quite understand what's going on with Faurlin. Superb at keeping the ball and surely better than Derry. Is he fully fit?

Have to agree, the damage is pretty deep.
Damn shame considering the optimism, misplaced as it was.

Diakite definitely did NOT play on the wing yesterday - he played central midfield. He moved into wide positions alot, particularly the right in the 1st half, but he certainly didn't start out there. The wide players were Adel and SWP.

Also 1st half Derry played well mopping up, though I agree that Faurlin should be in the starting XI
