    What do we need to do next season to consider it a successful one?

    This season cannot be seen by any as being successful even if we stay up (and I hope we do). My aspiration for next season would be to stay up without the slightest whiff of relegation.

    At the beginning of the season I got carried away with what we could achieve, however now I believe progress (for me) can be seen as;

    1) shake of the yoyo club label (done)
    2) stability (i.e. mid table without the hint of the R word).
    3) top six
    4) top six and trophy

    Hard question but will say top ten and safe by the end of March anything less will be failure and, could see him lose his job if he is still here for next season.

    The bare minimum has got to be a comfortable top 10 place.

    Next season I would like to see

    1. Top ten position with an interest in top 8
    2. No sign of a ten + match losing streak in the season
    3. A real go at doing something in one of the cups
    4. Stability and development of the squad in the obvious weak places (goal scoring midfield player, striker)
    5. Less loan players if possible
    6. One or two home developed talents (Noble / Knott ??) getting into the 1st team squad

    Sorry mate a ten match losing streak can never be on the cards, I honestly think that 5 loses in a row is not good enough

    Tell you what I wouldn't like to see? A bad start. Cos if Bruce can't keep a team going after a good start, what chance him motivating a team which hasn't been winning?

    Thats what I meant, after an excessively long losing streak in both of the last 2 seasons one next season is not acceptable

    Stop ****ing about like an amateurish set of ****ers and actually look like a club that belongs in the EPL not embarrassed to be there every season.

    I'm tired of the excuses and moaning at SAFC EVERY year. Just pull your fingers out Quinn, Short and Bruce and get the ****ing job done.

    The aims should be

    * Top 10
    * 50points target
    * Good cup runs

    We have never had a 10 match loosing streak, if West Ham get beat today they have the record this season with a 6 game loosing streak (unless skysports soccer saturday are clueless, cant be bothered to check myself).

    but for me, mid table mediocrity, put up a fight in the derbies and at least win the home one, beat the teams that will be coming up (not like this year), less injuries, good cup runs, or at least show they are trying in them, more youngsters getting a game, if someone has a nightmare, drop him, dont keep playing him week after week.

    Fully agree. STOKE are in the FA cup final after beating BOLTON in the semi final. Why can't we be up there too?
