Man of the match for me which says a lot about the second half.

Yep, did well enough. Surprised Watford says MotM though (Nelsen for me by a long way).

Green still rooted to his line far too often - nearly came a cropper with that one crossed straight across the goal in front of him, then bouncing back into his arms.

Still, hasn't dropped any real clangers in the couple of airings he's had. Has to be a good thing.

I'll take back what I said before the game about playing Murphy instead: He showed that he is interested. Maybe a big round of applause for HRs man-management?

Yes, the ball certainly fell nicely back into his relieved arms, but Clint Hill really should have dealt with the original cross and cleared the ball before the play ever got to that point.

Green kept us in this game at times though in front of a leaky defense, and on the balance of play, a draw was likely a fair result. Just wish we could have held onto that lead longer, and possibly even added another. Surprised Hoilett wasn't used as a sub as an attacking option. I wonder if Taarabt was subbed due to the yellow he was on - he really seems to have lost his past confidence when taking shots on goal.

Spot on, he doesn't look like scoring.

Actually went to the game today. Think Adel substitution was plotted by the Management in advance. Although at the time Wigan were on top, tactically it didn't work out too well, IMO. True, Cisse scored but he was absolutely disgraceful in all other aspects - spent more effort complaining to the ref or down on one knee than he did doing anything else.

Mackie became completely redundant when switched to the right. But in contrast to our good first half play, without Adel making the third man and coming off the wing there was absolutely no movement or interplay: on several occasions Granero was looking for a pass and the players were totally static. Adel has his faults and he continues to frustrate in some of his play, but without his movement and vision we would be even more predictable than we are at present.

I thought at the time (when Adel went off) that it should have been Diakite. A complete no-brainer!

Very frustrating thing to watch. Player is searching someone to pass him the ball and teammates are standing and watching.

I think that it might be worth the risk in playing Adel off the striker in the hole for our next home game. Get him playing, making chances and scoring must be one of our better chances of survival.

Pirata: our movement off the ball was awful 2nd half - well after we got into the game again after about 70 mins. That needs working on desperately.
