Oh, you decide when something is proven? Well, in that case you should become a lawyer. You'd earn a lot of money.
I basically said that your comment looked homophobic even if it was meant as a joke. Doesn't mean you meant to be or you are homophobic. Just relax!
You seem to be homophobic would have been a better way of wording it. And that's still what I think of your original comment. If you say you're not I believe you.
I'm always dissapointed with the booing of our own players when I'm at St Marys. It doesn't help. I actually hoped the booing was because they didn't want j rod to go off.
I know my hearing isnt what it used to be but i from where i am i didnt hear any booing when Guly came on. I think we all thought that JRod had had a good game and maybe some didnt like him being subbed off but Guly played well when he came on. There was plenty of chanting and singing in support of Guly from where i was and the Northam seemed to be doing the same. Maybe the booing was from a few in another stand and we couldnt hear it - goodness knows. I dont agree with the comments above ref Ramirez - i thought that he played well when he came on and i didnt mind him trying to score near the end - running the ball into the corner can be a dodgy tactic and i have seen it be Saints downfall plenty of time in the past. Luckily today worked out well for us - a very good win.
Not from where I was sitting, just polite applause in the Kingland and Chapel, some were calling "Guly" which is not far off the sound of booing. A bit like the Northam chanting "Luke", when I heard that first I mistook it for booing. Nobody booed him off, he did his job well, and I reckon given a chance there is more to come. After all a few on here got Puncheon wrong did they not?
just got home from the game and i was appalled by the booing, i sit in the itchen north and no one around me booed it all seemed to come from the kingsland/kingland north. Thought the bloke played very well and the situation we are in we REALLY need to be backing not booing!
Guly is a top lad, why anyone would boo him I cannot understand. Not to mention he's a ****ing talented footballer, too. That shot today... Urgh, almost top bins. Quality player.
The shot he had from the edge of the box that landed on the roof or the net looked like it had gone in from where I sit - can't have been far away. And for the turn and shot, whilst it was straight at the keeper, he did very well to get the shot off at all. I sincerely wish all those that booed Guly when he came on a thoroughly ****ty Christmas.
I was in Kingsland north and, although there has been Guly baiting in the past, I heard nothing. Even when I have heard it, it is quickly shouted down. Sadly, a very few people get their dissent in before sensible people have even notice who is coming on. Puncheon went through the same as well...sad and stupid.
I think it's very clear the booing was aimed at Guly and not the decision to bring off Rodriguez as the treatment continued (albeit to a lesser degree) with his first fwe touches of the game.
I thought that was in at the time I was ready to celebrate. I was right behind the shot if it had dipped slightly it was perfectly in the top corner.
