Sure it was not a good performance but under most circumstances a draw at Wigan is a decent result especially for a team who haven't won all season and haven't won an away game for well over a year. We are unbeaten in three PL Games in a row now, when was the last time we achieved that? A win at LR next week and suddenly we are one of the form teams in the league. The teams around us have tough games coming up in the next couple of weeks so I reckon we have a real opportunity to close the gap before Jan. The most important aspect for me today was Cisse scoring so hopefully it will have reignited his hunger. First win coming next week, gap to 17th closed to 5 points.
If the Rs had won the last three games under Mr Redknapp, rather than drawing them, which was quite possible given the way the games went, then the additional 6 points would have put them on 13 points, level with Sunderland and just 2 points off 17th with 20+ games to go. Yes, that has not been what's happened, but its wholly possible that a reversal of fortunes could occur in the very near future. There are other teams dropping points left, right and centre.
Can't blame a man for trying. Generally our play does worry me but as long as Nelsen and Mackie are going to slog their guts out every week I refuse to give up on them.
Yes, a well taken goal, and I wish he would do more of that, rather than complaining at team-mates (sometimes justified), or on his haunches today, waiting for a free kick to be awarded, as play continued.
Well you will need to watch the entire match again my friend ... we bossed them first half at home at their place ... yes they woke up second half but to say we made them look good is nowhere near correct you are letting your disappointment cloud the actual facts ... its over 2-2 1 point nothing can change that now
Get off it then and ffs change your underwear, you will have to break them up with a toffee hammer just to get them on in the morning
I did watch the match, first half was fairly even but second half we were ****ing ****e and clueless, sadly
Indeed.....and with our current points to games ratio we will get 9 out of those 66 and finish on 16. Lets just hope we can stay in the fray till January!
66 points to play for and 33 needed! Gonna take a Lazarus-style comeback but who knows what that first win might bring in terms of confidence...
We need a fu.cking capable striker, not that s.hit for brains Cisse, he sure scored but his attitude makes mi sick. Asshole
I wish I had your outlook in life. I am a pessimist. The realist in me says prepare for the championship next season.
Harold is the only unbeaten manager in the Premier League, and possibly in the premier leagues of all major European countries.
I too still believe we can do it. The important thing is that we haven't lost in the last 3 (ok we haven't won either !!), that's a 3 game unbeaten run...as long as we stay within at least 8 or 9 pts of 17th place up to the turn of the year and let Harry get in a couple of defenders and a striker we are still capable of staying up. So next week I believe is the 'MUST WIN GAME' lose or draw that and it will be difficult... Reading, Sunderland, Wigan & Villa all have have tough games coming up over Xmas so we can narrow the gap.
Finally, a man who talks sense On a serious note 33 ourt of 66 points is slightly optimistic. I would estimate our final points total between 28 and 34. We're down but we might as well enjoy having nothing more to lose. Lose to Reading and the like... Who cares if we can **** up The Scum, Man u and the other up-themselves. We should play without fear and offload as many losers as possible in January and in the summer. The Premier League and its plastics sucks in a major way. Back in the Championship there are real fans and real clubs (Lids excluded) and things can only get better. TF has been incredibly naive.
