You say you love the club but it clearly isn't working for you. You are an outdated manager, worse tactics then Bruce and just as weird team formation and substitutions. If you stay we will be relegated, we are now bottom 3 and 2pts adrift. All this billshit about IF we win our game in hand, we will be blah blah blah. This is all nonsense talk as we don't win games. Do the club a favour and walk so it is left in somebody more capable hands.
totaly lost his way i agree , this is going to cost mr short a lot of monrt new platers and a pay off before we break our own points tally
I do get where you are coming from, but today was more fools hope we would win than we WILL win, I for one wasnt expecting anything today at all, even a poor chelsea are too good for us, and there played ok today. (well they scored 3 and Torres was on target). As for keeping him all season and giving him cash in the Jan window, I am just pleased that is not my decision, we can argue till we are blue in the face,, but its Shorts decision and his only.
Who would you have instead & what would they have done different to beat Chelsea today, I'm really intrigued to know???
after the last 15mins I am prepared to give him 1more chance he seen how we played when we went with Rose and Sess in the CM, players with ability going forward and we looked far better and we went for it. I want to see MoN starting that way against Reading and get us positive and aggressive and lets get the 3points, if thats how MoN sets us up we will start to pick up points and he will turn it around if its the same old, same old then he can do 1 last chance saloon for Marty
Fortunately Roker, I don't make the decisions but I can see when something is not working. Personally I would go for Martinez or Di Matteo, even a relatively unknown/untried. Like Clarke or Laudrup. Anything but MON, do you not find it shameful he hasn't beat a team with 11 men for 9 months and in that time only won 3 games?
The 3 wins in 25 record is bad enough. When all 3 of those wins were against 10 men its an embarrassment. It's becoming hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel
15 minutes is not frigging good enough we are garbage at the back, and i hope that scumbag of a ref gets a poxy desease, what the hell did Short come here for as Len shack said they know nowt about football. We said we would beat QPR a fortnight ago but look whats happened, and why did O Shea replace Killgannon ?, he is too slow.
Out of those though, only Di Matteo would be interested being truthful. Is that correct about the 9 months? To be fair I said you should stick with him but that is incredible.
Di Matteo will not come - I will tell you that for nothing, Martinez - you can have my season ticket back now, he is clueless. "Anything but MON, do you not find it shameful he hasn't beat a team with 11 men for 9 months and in that time only won 3 games?" Does that 9 months include the close season by chance??? Are you excluding cup games? Short will not sack him and I'm lmao off at all this hysteria after a rather predictable defeat by Chelsea.
Whilst too much can't be read into pre-season results, it was certainly a forgettable pre-season for Martin O'Neill's side if nothing else, losing four of their six warm-up matches and more worryingly, scoring just four goals. cup = 3 games in 9 months beat MK dons beat off boro and Everton.
At the end of the day only one persons opinion matters and that is Shorts, I have sang for the head of managers in years gone by outside the main stand at Roker Park, from Alan Brown to Mick Buxton and that is the place to voice your protest, not sitting in the comfort of you living room playing at keyboard warrior top preaching about putting an end to a mans career. Do you honesty think Short takes heed of the 50 to 100 regular contributors on this board - if you do then your deluded. Go and stand outside the Main Stand and voice your protests after the match and see if you have the crowd with you - if you do then there is more chance of Short acting. The articles now are just getting a boring mish mash of trite statistics that do not reflect hard earned draws or good performances and ignore that MON has not brought in many transfers. If we do not beat Reading then the crowd may well protest - and that could be the beginning of the end of MON. And then my friends, our chances of relegation will increase.
Ok lads lets just leave the forum, its pointless we cant debate or support/want to sack the manager on here. I think everyone knows it wont get anywhere, but its still good to debate it. we may as well not have this forum, or any other, or even the net if no one debated anything because it doesnt mean anything. whichever way you look at our recent results, its ****e, Bruce came back from 0-2 down in 5 minutes to draw with WBA, we got a 0-0 draw away to swansea, we got 1-1 away to Liverpool, still didnt save his job did it.
Got to agree with Hans. You will stay up with O'Neil, you may (and its unlikely but possible) go down without him. Think you're fine either way but you wont get a better manager than O'Neill anytime soon, genuinely think he will come good still.
funny thing is about the pre-season. We played Hartlepool, they beat us 1-0, today they have just equalled a club record, 18 games without a win, ironic eh.
Hands, I'm deluded then. I honestly thought Ellis Short would have logged on straight after that game to read my own personal thoughts. Like Steve said pointless coming on here now if all we are going to do is debate
You chaps should hold your nerve. I'd give him until Mid Jan so see if the improved performances can translate into points on the board.
